44 Thereupon the Court do adjudge the Said Mary Rickards to Serve her said Master John roach his heirs and assigns five days for one for every day she absented herselfe as afd which amounts in the whole to one hundred and Seventy five days the said Mary Rickards to serve her said Master his heirs or assignes the full term afd to Commence at the End of her allready Servitude which is adjudged for full Satisfaction for the runaway time afd &c Ordered by the Court that Robert Jones be overseer of the Roads in Stead of Robert Laws and and that he Clear the Road further from the head of Little Creek to the head of Phebuses Creek and from M.r Stoughtons to John Shore's and that John shores Benj.a & Wm Sasser and Thomas Sasser Joyn in Clearing of the said Roads &c Ordered that William Bozman be overseer of the road and Clear from to John shores &c
age of twenty One Years the said Mathew Porter being two Years Old the Last August the sd Mathew Porter to serve the afd Sam.l Mayo and Mary his wife their heirs and assigns in all such Lawfull Service as they shall Imply him ^in or^ about the full term afd In consideration of which Servitude afd the said Saml Mayo and Mary his wife undertakes to find and provide for the said Servant Sufficient meat Drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such a Servant to have and wear dureing the term afd &c William MaClamey appointed Prestmaster on the Bayside (for Somersett County) for the Ensueing Year &c John Scarbrough appointed Prestmaster for the Ensuing Year for the sea side John Handy of Somersett County Gent agrees with the Justices of Somersett County Court for the keeping a ferry Over wickaccomoco River where a Certain George Hutchins did and to find a good Boat and to give good attendance thereto for the Ferrying of horse and man over the said ^river^ ferry &c In consideration whereof the said John Handy is to be allowed by the Year the sum of three thousand pounds of tobacco &c Ordered by the Court that William Groom's be allowed for the future for keeping of a Ferry over ye Indian River and finding a good Boat, and good attendance, the Sum two thousand pounds of tobacco P Year &c |
