31 And the afd Mary Brown by George Dashiell her attorney Comes and Defends the force & Injury when &c And prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and she hath it and the same day is given to the afd Plft here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty Seven Came againe as well the afd Isaac Morris and Esther his wife Exrx as afd as the afd Mary Browne by their attorneys afd and the afd Mary Browne by her said attorney thereupon prayed further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the same day is given unto the afd Plft ^here^ also &c Att which said next Court to witt fifteenth day of August Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty seven Came againe as well the afd Isaac Morris and Hester his wife as the afd Mary Brown by their attorneys afd and thereupon the said Mary Brown by her said attorney as before defend the force and Injury when &c and saith that she doth not detain ye above mentioned Gold Chain and Lockett from the above Names Isaac Morris and Esther his wife Ex.rx of W.m Skirvan afd in manner and form as the plft @ Against her hath Complained and of this she putts herselfe upon the Country Plfts Likewise Thereupon Command is given to the sherr of Somersett County that Immediately he Cause to come here twelve &c by whom &c who neither &c to recognize &c because as well &c of which said Preceipt the said sherr to witt Francis Allen Gent Now hereat this day to witt the same day and year Last mentioned makes return that he hath here ready twelve &.c as by his said preceipt he was Commanded and Now hereafterwards to witt the same day and year Came as well the afd Plfts as the afd deft by their attorneys afd and the Jurors of that Jury therein Impannelled being Called Likewise came to witt Wm Lane, Edward Jones, Richard Holland, Thomas Cary John Townsend Jun.r, Henry Toadvine, James Hardy, John Holland, James Thompson, Christopher Glass, William Furnace, and Robert Collier who being duely Elected tryed and Sworn to say the truth in ye premisses upon their oath do say that the afd Mary Brown doth not detain from the afd &c Isaac Morris and Esther his wife Exrx of the same William Skirvan the afd Gold Chain and Locketts as the Plfts above against her have Complained &a Therefore it is Considered by the Court that the afd Isaac Morris and Esther his wife Executrix of the same William Skirvan take nothing by their writ afd but in mercy for their falce Clamour and that said Mary Brown goe thereof without day &c
