                                                By Vertue of an act of Assembly an act for the releife
of Creditors and to prevent frauds and deceipts occasioned by Secret Sales, Mortgages and
          Gifts of Goods and Chattells &.c
                                                                  Before me John Handy one of his Lordships Justices of the peace for y.e
      County of Somersett Came William Kenny and made Oath on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God that
    a Certain Lazarus Kenney of the County afd is runaway and that he is Indebted to him two pounds sixteen
    shilling and two pence as P.r account proved also Eighteen barrells of Corn as by receipt on back of bond &c
To the Cler of Somersett County you are Required to Issue attachment for the above mentioned debts according to
act of assembly and this shall be your warrent given under my hand and Seal this 26th day of march 1730

       By Vertue of the above warrent and in pursuance of an act of assembly in such Cases made and provided
I did Issue an attachm.t against the goods and Chattells Rights and Creditts of the afd Laz.a Kenney which said
attachment afterwards by the Sher of Somersett County was Returned

in Maryland  ss:    James Johns late of Somersett County planter and Daniel Johns
Late of Somersett County planter al.s dict.s James Johns and Daniel Johns of Sumer County
were Sumoned to answer unto Aaron Linn of a plea that they Render unto him ten pounds
Eighteen shillings and ten pence Currant money of said province which to him they  Owe and
Unjustly detain &c
And whereupon the said Aaron by Francis Allen his attorney saith that whereas the said James and Daniel
the tenth day of march anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty Nine at Somersett County afd within the
Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certain Writing Obligatory which the said Aaron with the Seal of the Said James &
Daniel signed here into Court brings the date whereof is the same day and Year did acknowledge themselves to be
bound unto the said Aaron in the afd tenn pounds Eighteen Shillings and tenn pence Currant money afd to be paid
the said Aaron when he should be thereunto required yett the said James and Daniel Johns tho' often Required
the said Eighteen pounds Eighteen shillings and tenn pence to the said Aaron have not rendered nor Either of
them hath rendered but the Same to him hitherto to render have deneyed and still doth deny and unjustly
detaine to the damage of the said Aaron of six pounds money afd and thereupon he brings suite &c
                                                                                                 F Allen P Quer Pleges &c  Jno Doe R Roe

       And whereupon the afd James and Daniel Johns by James Shirley their attorney Come and defend the force
and Injury when &.c and say that they Cannot Gainsay the action afd of the afd Aaron nor Can they say but
that the writing Obligatory afd is their act and deed nor but that they Owe the Same Aaron the afd tenn
pounds Eighteen shillings and tenn pence Curr.t money in manner and form as the afd Aaron above against
them hath declared wherefore the said Aaron prays Judgmt for his debt afd and his damages Sustained
by Occasion of the detaining of the Same debt & him to be adjudged &c

                      Therefore it is Considered that the afd Aaron Lynn Recover against the afd James Johns and
Daniel Johns tenn pounds Eighteen shillings and ten pence Currant money his debt afd and his damages
272   Sustained by Occasion of the damning of the Same Debt to Two hundred & Seventy Two         pounds
of tobacco to the Same Aaron of his assent by the Court here adjudged and y.e afd defts in Mercy &c
