Jn.o Price of ye Co.ty of Sussex upon Delaway Planter was
Sumoned to answer unto Rich.d Poltney of a plea that he render
                   unto him thirty five pound Curr.t Mony of Pensilvania or BIlls of
    Creditt which to him he Ows & unjustly Detains &a

          And Whereupon ye said Rich.d by Francis Allen his attry Saith yt whereas
ye said Jn.o ye twenty first day of Janry Ann.o Dom Seventeen Hundred and
twenty Six Seven at ye Co.ty afd within ye Jur of this Co.t by his Certain obligatory
which ye said Rich.d with the Seal of ye afd Jn.o Signed hereinto Co.t Brings the
Date whereof is the same day & Year did Acknowledge himselfe to be Bound
unto ye said Richard in ye afd thirty five pounds Curr.t Mony of Pensilvania or
Bills of Creditt to be paid unto ye said Richard when he Should be thereunto required
yett ye said John tho' often required ye said thirty five pounds Curr.t Mony of
Pensilvania or Bills of Creditt unto ye said Richard hath Not rendered but the
Same to him hitherto to render hath done Denyed & Still doth Deny and
unjustly Detain Whereupon ye said Rich.d Saith he is worse & Hath Dam.s
to ye value of twenty Pounds Curr.t Mony of Maryland & thereupon he Brings
Suite with this that ye said Richard Will verifie that thirty five Pounds Curr.t
Mony of Pensilvania or Bills of Creditt are Equall in value to thirty five pounds
Curr.t Mony of Maryland &a        F: Allen P Quer Pledges &.a  Jn.o Doe  R Roe

             And the afd John Price In his Own Proper person Comes and defends the force and Injury when
&.c  And says that he Cannot gainsay the action afd of the afd Richard nor but that he Owes the Same Richard
then afd and Says that he Cannot deny but that the writing obligatory afd is his deed nor but that
he Owes the Same Richard the afd thirty five pounds in manner and form as the afd Richard above
against him hath Declared
                                           Therefore it is Considered that the afd Richard Poltney Recover against
     the afd John Price thirty five pounds Curr.t money his debt afd and his damages by Occasion of
313   the detaining of the Same debt to three hundred & thirteen                      pounds of tobo to
the same Richard of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the afd Jno in Mercy &c

 Comand was given to the Sher of Somrsett Co.ty that he Should Take
Charles Watson Late of Somrsett Coty Planter if he Should be found
in his Balywick & him Should safe Keep so yt he he Might
                               have his Body before ye Justices of his Lordships Co.ty Court
    of somrsett to be Held at Dividing Creek ye third tuesday of March then Next
to answer unto Jos: MaClester of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a  And that
thereof he Should Not fail &.a  And the afd Jos: MaClester by Levin Gale
his attry declared against ye said Rob.t Watson in ye plea afd as Followeth vizt

       Somrsett ss:  Robert Watson Late of somrsett Co.ty Planter was attached to answer
             unto Jos: MaClester of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a
And whereupon ye same Jos: by Levin Gale his attry Complains that Whereas ye afd
Rob.t ye tenth day of Novem.r Seventeen Hundred & twenty Eight at Somrsett Co.ty
within ye Jur of this Court was Indebted unto the Same Jos: in the Sum of
Eight Hundred & fifty three pd.s of tob.o as by Acc.t here with in Court Produced
May appear & so thereof being Indebted ye said Rob.t Watson in Consideration
thereof afterwards to witt the Same Day & Year afd at ye Co.ty afd and
