1729 239 did take Steal & Carry away against the peace of the right Honrble the Lord Propry his Good rule & Governm.t & also against the form of the Act of assembly in that Case Made & provided &a L Gale Clk Indictments Test Jno Caldwell, James Shirley Francis Allen, Henry Jerman On the backside of the foregoeing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed viz.t Ignoramus Wm Selby Foreman Whereupon the afd George Lane and Temperance his wife present here in Court in their Proper persons is discharged from their Recognizance Entered into for their appearance at this court and ordered to give Security for their Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premises Thereupon a Certain John Dredon of Somersett County planter present here in Court undertakes for the said George Lane and Temperance his wife to pay the Severall Officers their fees due as afd &c
with force & arms fifty Tallow Candles of the Value of thirty pounds of tob.o one Linen Shift of the value of Sixty pounds of tob.o & one hatt of the value of three hundred pounds of tob.o of the Goods & Chattles of a Certain James Shirley then & there Being found then & there Feloniously did Steal & Carry away against the peace of ye right honrble ye Lord Proprietary his Good rule & Governm.t & also against ye form of ye Act of assembly in that Case Made & provided Levin Gale P L P.r Testes John Caldwell, Elionar Peirce On the Backside of ye foregoing Bill of Indictm.t it was thus Endorsed viz.t Ignoramus W.m Selby foreman Whereupon the afd Geo: Lane & Temperance his wife Present here in Court in their proper Persons is discharged from their recognizance Entered into for their appearance at this Court and Ordered to Give Security for the Severall officers fees due by occasion of the Premisses Thereupon a Certain Jn.o Dredon of somrsett Co.ty Planter present here in Court undertakes for the said George Lane & Temperance his wife to pay the Severall officers their fees due as afd &a
