Thereupon a Certain Patrick Kersie Present here in Court undertakes for the said
Phenix Hall to pay the fine afd and the Severall Officers their fees due by Means of
the Premisses afd &a

Alexander Price
Whereas a Certain Alexander Price being formerly presented by the Grand
Jury for the begetting of a bastard Child and the Said Alexander Price being since
fled and Could not be taken &.c  Now hereat this day to witt the seventeenth day
of March ann.o one thousand Seven hundred and twenty Nine Came hereinto Court a Certain George
Dashiell in his proper person and undertakes to pay thirty Shillings for the afd Alexd Price for his
fine for the fact afd   Likewise a Certain Thomas Humphrys will pay the Severall Officers their
fees due upon the premisses &c

Somersett County ss          The Jurors for the Right honrble Lord Proprietary
of the province of Maryland for the body of Somersett County that now is upon
their Oath &.c do present that James Martin Late of Somersett County afd Gent
    the tenth day of february anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty nine at Somersett County
within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and armes in and upon a Certain Isaiah Bredall
in the peace of God &.c being did make an assault and affray and him the said Issaiah Bredall then
& there did Beat wound and Evill entreat so that of his life it was dispaired and other harms to
him did to the Great damage of the ^said^ Isaiah Bredall and against the peace of the Said Lord Propryetary
his good rule and Government               L Gale P Priety

       On the backside of the foregoeing Bill of Indictmt it was thus Endorsed viz.t
                                                                            Billa Vera   W.m Selby foreman

       Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somersett County that he should take the said
James Martin if &.c to answer &.c  And afterwards in the Same Court Came the said James Martin
and being by the Sher sett to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe
of the premisses afd Says and Submitts to the Court with a protestation of his Innocency because
he will not plead with his said Lordship &c
                                                                               Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here
that the said James Martin to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd by Occasion of the
premisses afd which same James Martin then and there present in Court afd prays that he may
be admitted at fine with his Said Lordship by occasion afd and thereof he putts himselfe in Mercy
of his said Lordship and the fine of the said James Martin is by the Justices assessed to One
hundred pounds of tobacco to the Use of his Said Lordship &c

Bearing a Bastard Child in the Month of October 1729

Thereupon Command is Given to ye sher of Somrsett Co.ty yt he Should
                Take ye said Ann Barton if &.a to answer &.a  And afterwards in ye same Court
Came ye said Ann Barton in her proper Person & being by the Sher Sett to the
