Sarah Southby
 We of the Grand Jury do present Sarah Southby Spinster of all hallowes parish for bearing
a bastard Child some time about the month of february    James Mumford Informer
                                                                   Edward Rownd Foreman
                         Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Somersett County that he should take the said
Sarah Southby if &.c to answer &c   And afterwards in the Same Court came the Said Sarah Southby in
her Own proper person and being by the sher sett to the bar is thereupon Instantly demanded how she
would acquitt her selfe of the premisses afd says that of the premisses afd she is Guilty thereof but hath
not wherewithall to pay her fine for the fact afd
                                                                            Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd
Sarah Southby be whipt at the publick whiping post with twelve Lashes on the bear back well laid on and thereupon
as to the Corporall punishment afd Command is Given to the sher of Somersett County that he do thereof
Immediate Execution by whiping the afd Sarah Southby at the publick whiping post with twelve Lashes
on the bare back well Laid on untill the blood appear;   and afterwards in the Same Court the sher returns
that he has done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporall punishment afd he was Commanded
Whereupon Isaiah Bredall master of the Said ^Sarah^ Eliza Southby present here in Court undertakes to deliver
up unto Somersett County or the sher thereof the said ^Sarah^ Eliza at the Expiration of her Servitude to
reemburst to said County the severall Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd &c


The Same

Eliz.a Tingle
 We of the Grand Jury do present Eliza Tingle Spinster of allhallows parish for bearing a bastard
Child some time in June Last          James Mumford Informer
                                                                      Edward Rownd foreman
                      Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somersett County that he should take the
said Eliz.a Tingle if &.c to answer &.c   And afterwards in the Same Court Came the afd Eliz.a in her proper
person and being by the sher sett to the barr presentmt read pleads Guilty and is willing to pay thirty
Shillings for her fine for the fact afd &c   Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the
said Eliz.a Tingle be fined to his said Lordship thirty shillings for her fine for her fact afd and that
she be taken &.c   Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that she give Security for paymt of the severall
Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd &c   Hugh Tingle promiseth to pay fees &.c


The Same

Margery Rewark
 We of the grand Jury do present Margery Rewark spinster of Somersett parish for bearing of a bastard
Child some time in the month of September      Mat Dorman Informer
                                                                                       Edward Rownd foreman
                                              Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somersett County that he should take the
said Margery Rewark if &.c to answer &.c   And afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Margery Rewark
in her proper person and being by the Sher sett to the Bar and presentmt Read is thereupon Instantly
demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd Says that of the premisses fad she is Guilty
thereof and Submitts to the mercy of the Court but hath not wherewithall to pay her fine for the fact afd

          Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Margery Rewark be whipt at the publick
whiping Post with twelve Lashes on the bare Back well laid on untill the blood appear &c and thereupon
as to the Corporall Punishment afd Command is Given to the sher of Somersett County that he
do thereof Immediate Execution by whiping of the afd Margery Rewark at the publick whiping post
well Laid on untill the blood appear and afterwards in the Same Court Came the said sher and
