235 that your worships in your bounty would be pleased to sett him free from the levy's ensuing so prays your worships humble Petitioner The Petitioner aforesaid ^being^ read and heard and fully understood Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Joseph Eames befor the future Leavy free as by the petition afd is praid &c
time afd Inconsideration of which Service the Said Arthur Dashiell is to Learn the said John Holland during his Servitude to write and Cypher as far as the rule of three and the art of Navigation &c Whereupon the afd Arthur Dashiell is ordered to give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd Thereupon a Certain George Dashiell of Somersett County Gent present here in Court in his proper person undertakes for the said Arthur Dashiell and acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the afd John Holland in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling good and Lawfull money of England of the his goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied for the Use of the said John Holland if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above recognizance is Such that if the above said Arthur Dashiell do and Shall Learn the above said John Holland during his Servitude to write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three and the act of Navigation and Likewise fine and provide for his Said apprentice during his servitude Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such an apprentice to have and wear &.c then the above recognizance to be void and of None Effect Otherwise to Stand and remain in full force and virtue &c
next to answer &.c Whereupon the said Andrew Willson with John Murray his security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Sum of fifty pounds sterling Each good and Lawfull mony of England to be Levied of their goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors if default be made in the condition hereunder Written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden And.w Willson do and shall make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June next to answer unto his Said Lordship Concerning all such matters and things as shall be then and there objected |
