226 Otherways then by threats the premisses Considered your petitioner as in duty bound shall pray Philip Curry The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had as well on the Part of the petitioner as on the part of the said Joseph Dashill &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Philip Curry from his service afd be acquitt and that the Indenture of the said Philip Curry by which ye said Joseph Dashiell detained him a servant is not Good nor Sufficient in Law &c
the said Eliz.a Rowland if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards to witt Come here into Court the said Eliz.a Rowland ^in^ her proper person and being by the sher sett to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd above her Imposed she is guilty thereof and makes Oath that a Certain Thomas Davis is the father and begetter of the Child she stands presented for and is willing to pay thirty shillings Curr.t mony for her fine for the fact afd &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Eliz.a Rowland be fined to his said Lordship thirty shillings Curr.t mony for the fact afd and that the said Eliz.a Rowland be taken &.c whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the said Eliz.a Rowland give Security for all the Officers fees due by means of the premisses thereupon a Certain Henry Schofeild present here in Court undertook to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premises afd &c
Ann Tabitha Bryan if &c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the said Ann Tabitha Bryan in her proper person and being by the said sher sett to the bar is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses fd above upon her Imposed she is Guilty thereof and makes oath that a Certain Richard Bowles is the father of the bastard Child she stands presented for and is willing to pay thirty shillings Currt mony for her fine for the fact afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court that the Said Ann Tabitha Bryan be fined thirty shillings to his Lordship ^for ye fact afd^ to ward the defraying of the County Charges and that |
