Gelica a negro Woman of Cap.t William Fasitts being antient and past Labour is adjudged
at the mocon of said fasitt to be tax free for the future &c

    To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County Court now Sitting the
petition of Mathew Patrick humbly Sheweth whereas your poor petitioner
                         has been brought up and under the Jurisdiction of this County above Named
    and have Lived to be of Years of Maturity and never had Occasion to pray any assistance
of your worships till now it hath pleased God some time past to afflict him with paines in his
limbs and Joynts to the great Loss of the Use of them so that he Cant comply with his
necessary business and affaires to the support of his family but is reduced to a Law miserable
and most deplorable state and Condition humbly beseeches your worships to discharge him of
his Levy for which Great liberality towards him your poor petition as in duty bound shall
ever pray
                           The Petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature debt
deliberation thereupon had      Wherefore it is Considered by the Court that the afd Mathew
Patrick be for the future tax free as by the petition afd is praid &c


Sampson a negro boy of Jeffry Longs is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of twelve
Years &c

       Sarah a negro Girle of John Williams is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of
twelve years &.c

Tom a negro boy of James Furnis is adjudged by the Court to be of the afd of fourteen years &.c


His Lordship

Honour Puckam

          Philip Covington of Somersett County Gentleman Comes
here into Court in his proper person and Swears the peace against Honour
                   Puckham wife of Abraham Puckham in Common form &.c

                         Whereupon the said Honour Puckham being present herein Court is ordered to
given recognizance with two Securitys for her good behaviour and appearance at November Court
next               Whereupon the afd Abraham Puckham with a Certain John Follows both present
herein Court in their proper persons acknowledge themselves top owe unto the right honrble
the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland ^in^ twenty pounds sterling good and Lawfull
mony of England seperately of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be Made and
Levied for the use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors if default be made in the Condition
hereunder written

                                        The  Condition of the above Recognizance is such that if the abovesaid
Honour Puckham shall personally appear at the next Court to be held at Dividing Creek
