thereof the day and year afd at the County afd upon himselfe did assume and to the Said James then and
there faithfully did promise that he the said Robert the said sum of three pounds three shillings and
One Penny Sterling to the said James when afterwards he should be thereunto requested he would well
and faithfully pay and Content Nevertheless the Said Robert his promise and assumption afd in form afd
made nothing regarding but Plotting and fraudulently Intending the Said James in that Part Craftilly and
Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Robert the said Sum of three pounds three shillings and one
penny to the said James altho to do the said Robert in the afd tenth day of May in the year afd and
often afterwards at ye County afd by the said James he was Requested hath not paid or to him for the
same in any wise Contented but the Same to him hitherto to pay or in any sort to Content hath
Refused and Still doth refuse and deny whereupon he saith that he is worse and hath damage to
to the value of six pounds Sterling and thereupon he brings this Suite &.c   L Gale P Quer Pledges &c Jno Do R Roe

       And the afd Robert Gibbs by Francis allen his attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury
when &.c and says that he Cannot Gansay the action afd of the afd James nor but that he did assume
upon himselfe in manner and form as the afd James above against him hath Complained and as to the
damage of the Same James by occasion of the premisses in that Part Sustained the Same Robert saith
and Confesseth that the afd James has sustained damage by Occasion of the premisses further then his Costs
and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed to three pounds three shillings and one penny ster
and not more and because the afd James denys not this but the same allegation Confesseth to be true prays
Judgm.t and his damages above Confessed together with his Costs and Charges afd to him adjudged &c

       Therefore by Consent of the Parties afd it is Considered that the afd James Dickerson Recovered
against the afd Robert Gibbs his damages afd to three pounds three shillings and one penny sterling by
287   the same Rob.t in form afd Confessed as also three hundred and Eight               pounds of tob.o
for his Costs and Charges afd to the same James at his request by the Court here by Consent of the
parties afd adjudged which Certain Damages in the whole do amount to three pounds three shillings and
one penny Ster and three hundred and Eight                     pounds of tobacco and the afd deft in mercy &c

     Ralph Tindall
    Comand was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should take Ralph
Tindall Late of Somersett County Planter if he should be found in his bailywick
and him should Safe Keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June the next to
answer unto the said John Blizard of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c and that thereof he should
not fail &c
                   And the afd John Blizard by francis Allen his attorney Complaines against the afd Ralph
Tindall in the plea afd as followeth viz.t

                   somersett County fs  Ralph Tindall late of Somersett County Planter was attached to answer
unto John Blizard of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c

                               And whereupon the said John by Francis Allen his attorney Complaines that
whereas the said Ralph the first day of August Ann.o Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty seven
at Somersett County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the said John in Eight
pounds Currant money of Maryland for one horse by the said John to the said Ralph at the Speciall
                                                                                                                                           Instance
