184 Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somersett County that he should Somons the aforesaid John Johnson and John Tyler if they should be found &.c for their appearance at June Court next to answer the Petition afd Att which said Next Court to witt the Seventeenth day of June one thousand Seven hundred and Twenty Nine Came here into Court as well the afd John Johnson and John Tyler as the afd Petitioner and the aforesaid Petition being read and heard and fully Understood as also the Severall Allegations as well on the Part of the afd John Johnson & John Tyler as on the Part of the afd Petitioner being Maturally & deliberately Considered &c Therefore it is ordered by the Court that the aforesaid Mary Hopkins from ye Service of the aforesaid John Johnson be discharged and goe thereof without day &c Upon the Complaint of Abraham Smith to this Court against William Pointer for the abusing and Misusing of a Certain Nehemiah Pointer an Orphan Now hereat this day to witt the Seventeenth day of June one thousand seven hundred and Twenty Nine Came here into Court the afd William Pointer and the afd orphan Nehemiah Pointer and forasmuch as it doth not appear to the Court that the aforesaid Nehemiah Pointer is abused according to the Complaint aforesaid. Therefore it is ordered by the Court here that the afd Nehemiah Pointer return home with the afd William Pointer and that he Comply with his Indentures &c
Right honrble the Lord proprietary of this province that now is and gives the Court to understand and be Enformed that a Certain John Parker Jun.r late of Coventry parish in Somersett County planter the Sixteenth day of aprill one thousand Seven hundred and Twenty Nine with force & Armes at the parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid within the Jurisdiction of this Court in & upon a Certain Robert John an Indian in the peace of God and Our said Lord proprietary then and there being an assault made and him beat wound and Evilly Intreated so that of his Life it was dispaired and other harms then and there did do to the great Damage of the said Robert John and against the peace of Our said Lord proprietary his good rule and dignity wherefore the said George Dashiell prays Advisement of the Court here in the premises and that due process of Law may Issue Dashiell for the Lord Prory Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somersett County that he should take ye said John Parker if &.c to answer &c and afterwards to witt Comes hereinto ^Court^ the afd John Parker in his Own proper person and being by the Sher sett to the pr Barr prays hearing of the Information aforesaid thereupon the said John Parker says that he is Guilty of the trespass and assault in manner and form as by the Information above is upon him Imposed &c Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd John Parker Jun.r be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine by Occasion of the trespass and assault aforesaid which same John |
