he should Imploy him in or about the full term of time afd &c Inconsideration of which Servitude the afd Thomas Williams undertakes for to Learn his said apprentice the trad^e^ of a Shoemaker and to read well in the bible during his Servitude afd and Likewise to find and provide for his said Servant dureing the term afd meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Mete for Such an apprentice to have and wear &c Wherefore it is Ordered by the Court that the afd Thomas Williams Give Recognizance in twenty pounds Sterling for to Comply with the Covenants afd Thereupon the afd Thomas Williams Acknowledged himselfe to Owe unto the Said William Pusey Twenty pounds Good and Lawfull money of Great brittain of his goods and Chattells Lands or tenements to be made and Levied for the Use of the afd William Pusey his heirs and assigns if default be made in the Condition hereunder Written The Condition of this Recognizance is such that if the above bounden Thomas Williams do and shall well and truely perform fullfill and keep all and Singular the Covenants articles and agreements abovesaid on his part to be performed fullfilled and keept then the above recognizance to be void otherwise &c Robert Anderson son of Sarah Anderson being Lame and not able to Gett a Living is at the prayer of Mr George Dashiell discharged from the paying of taxes &c Tom a negro of Mr George Dashiells sen.r being blind and not able to worke whereby to maintain himselfe is discharged from paying of taxes for the future &c Gonah a negro of George Downs being Lame is discharged from paying of taxes for the future Sam.l a Distempred boy Living with Sambo Game is discharged from paying of taxes for the future &c Henry Fitzwaters of Somersett County Inholder brings his Servant man into Court Named Morris Ohhearn who had runaway and absented himselfe Out of his Masters Service forty five days Whereupon the afd Henry Fitzwaters prays the Court that the afd Morris may be adjudged to Serve him for the runaway time afd according to act of assembly also the afd Henry prays the Court that the said Morris may be adjudged to Serve him according to Law for four pounds Eight shillings which he paid for pursuing apprehending and Imprisonment fees when runaway as afd Whereupon it is Considered by the Court that the afd Morris Ohhearn Serve his said Master Eight days for every day that he was runaway as afd which amounts in the whole to three hundred and Sixty days Likewise the afd Morris adjudged to serve his said |
