                              Edw.d round Johnson Hill & Jn.o Beavins all of Somrsett Co.ty Gent Greeting
Know ye yt we have appointed you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners
to Examine Evidences on behalfe of a Certain Will.m Selby of ye Co.ty afd in
Relation to ye Bounds of three tracts of Land Lying in ye Co.ty afd Called Partner Choice
Simpleton & Duram House  We therefore require you or any three or two of you at
Some time & place as to you or any three or two of you Shall Seem Convenient you meet
on ye afd land Called Partners Choice ^Simpleton^ & Duram House (you first haveing taken your oath
on ye Holy Evangelist of almighty God According to act of assembly in Such Case made &
Provided) & there Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all Such Evidences
as Shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by ye Said Complanient
(or Deft if any) & yt you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you
or any three or two of you Administred on ye Holy Evangelist of almighty God in the
Presents of ye Complanient (or Deft if any) touching the truth or remembrances of
their Knowledge or anything that may relate to ye Cause afd & yt reduceing ye Severall
Depositions into Writing you Send ye Same together with this our Commission under
your or any three or two of your Hands to us to our Co.ty Co.t of Somrsett with all Convenient
Speed Wittness Saml Hopkins Gent Chief Justice of our Said Court &a

             On the Backside of ye foregoing Commission it was thus Endorsed vizt

                   This 15.th day of July 1728 was ^duly^ Quallified before me M.r Jn.o Purnell, Johnson
Hill & Edward Round to Execute ye within precipt as wittness my Hand ye day above

                                        By Virtue of a Commission from ye Co.ty Co.t to Jno Purnell Johnson
                      Hill Edw.d round & Jn.o Beavins or to any two or three of them to Examine Evidences
          in relation to ye Bounds of three tracts of Land Lying in Somrsett Co.ty afd viz.t partners
Choise, Duram House & Simpleton we the Subscribers mett on ye Severall tracts of Land afd
& proceeded to Examine Such Evidences as were Produced to us & first in relation to ye Bounds
of Partners Choise M.rs Easther Morris being Sworne on ye Holy Evangelist of almighty God
on her Oath Declared yt She had heard her father Coll Will.m Whittington say at several
times y.t Coll Fran Jenkins formerly Surveyer of Somrsett Co.ty told him ye Said Whittington
that ye first Bounder of ye Whites Land or partners Choice Stood by ye river Swampside
Meaning Pocomoke river Swampside about halfe Amile Above Snow Hill Landing now
Called M.r Hough's Landing & on a low peice of Ground some What Like an Island or resembling
an Island or words to ye Like Purpose & further she Declared yt She heard her father
afd say yt According to ye Directions given by Coll Jenckins afd he went from ye Landing
afd up ye river & along by ye Swampside & about halfe Amile above ye Landing afd he found
