154 of Land in the County afd Called Johnsons Lott the boundarys whereof are decayed and the wittnesses to prove them ancient and Infirm Your petitioner therefore humbly prays a Commission to such persons as your worships shall think proper to Examine Evidences to perpetuate the boundarys of the said Land and your Petitioner as in duty bound shall pray The petition afd being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered that a Commission Issue to the afd Capell King as by the petition afd is praid and that Levin Gale, John Tunstall Edward North and Robert Givans all of Somersett County Gent.m be Commissioners to Execute the same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &c Richard Hill son of Richard Hill dec.d being not of full age for the Chosing his Gardian is ordered by the Court to Remain in the Custody of Wm Simpson till march Court next and then to bring him to Court and in the mean time to put him to School &c
In consideration of which Servitude the said Edmond Hough Promisseth to Learn the said Sarah Nichols during her servitude to Read well in the bible and to knitt sew and spin and other houswifery and to find and provide for his said Servant Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such a Servant to have and wear during the term afd ^and at the Expiration thereof to give her a new suit of Cloath and two Cows and Calves^ Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that the said Edmond Hough give Recognizance in ten pounds Sterling to Comply with the Covenants afd &c Whereupon the said Edmond Hough present here in Court in his own proper Person acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the said Sarah Nichols in the sum of ten pounds Ster good and Lawfull money of England to be Levied of his body goods and Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the Said Sarah Nichols her heirs or assigns if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is such that if the above bound Edmond Hough do and Shall well and truly Learn the afd Sarah Nichols the During her servitude afd to Read well in the bible and Nitt Sew and Spin and other houswifery and Sufficient meat drink washing and Lodging and Cloathing mete for such a Servant to have and wear and at the Expiration thereof give her a new Suit of Cloaths and two Cows and Calves then the above Ob Recognizance to be void and of None Effect otherwise &c |
