       The Deposition of Randall Mitchell aged Sixty three years or there abouts Deposeth &
Saith on the Holy Evangelist of almighty God Saith that when Sam.l Long took up the Land
that George Marshall now lives on he marked a white oake tree as ye uppermost Bounder
of that Land which Stands near to an old field now & Close by an old path side where the
Commissioners were present and all persons Concerned & further saith not

          By vertue of a Commission to us Directed from Somrsett Co.ty Co.t ye above Deposition
       was taken Before us                              Septem.r ye 2 day 1728   Ephraim Willson
This Deposition was taken at the request of Daniel Hull                        Boaz Wallston
                The Edmond Cullin aged thirty nine years or there abouts    John Trehearn

    Deposeth on ye Holy Evangelist of almighty God Saith that about twenty year agoe
this Deponant & James Curtiss was often feeding hogs on a place Called Long ridge now
Claimed by Daniell Hull at ye Hog pen near ye uper End of ye Said tract of Land
at Severall times he desired this Deponant being a young man to take Notice of a marked
white Oak standing in ye side of Murrmusco Damn being ye being ye Same tree yt ye Deponant
is at in presents of ye Commissioners & all persons Concerned as his upper most bounder
on ye Dam side afd this Deponant further Saith that he has often gone along the
Small path & Close by ye tree mentioned ion Timothy Swilleven Deposition in Company
with his Master James Curtis & that he this Deponant Never heard the
Said Curtiss say directly or Indirectly yt ye Bounder Mentioned by Sulliven was any
thing relateing to ye Land he ye Said Curtiss then owned Called Long ridge but frequently
bid him take Notice of ye uper tree recited in ye above Instrument & further Saith
not                           By Vertue of a Commission to us Directed from Somrsett Co.ty

this Deposition was taken at ye request of Daniell                         Boaz Walston
Hull            September the 2 day 1728                                          John Trehearn

          William Catlin aged forty two years or there abouts Deposeth on ye Holy Evangelist
of almighty God Saith yt where an Old burnt Stump of white Oake near murrumsco dam
Side now stands was ye place or there abouts to ye Best of his knowledge where there stood
a marked white Oak tree which tree this Deponant father told him was ye first Bounder of
his land Called Long ridge now Claimed by Daniell Hull & this Deponant further Saith yt
when the Law was in force for allowing four pd.s of tob.o p Hand for Squerrills he was
Hunting for Squerrills & then he Saw ye tree above Mentioned fairly Marked with sixteen
Notches & further Saith not         By Virtue of a Commission to us Directed from Somrsett
Co.ty Co.t the above Deposition was taken Before us                                      Ephraim Willson
this Deposition was taken at ye request of Daniel Hull Septem ye 2 day 1728   Boaz Walston
             The Deposition of Adam Hitch aged Sixty nine years relating               John Trehearn
to prove ye Bounds of a Certain tract of Land Called long ridge taken this 28 day of Septem.r 1728
And being Sworn on ye Holy Evangelist of allmighty God saith yt about thirty four years agoe
he Bought of rob.t Catlin 135 acres of land laying on Murrumsco Dam or branch Called Long
ridge & ye said Catlin told me yt the great white oak standing by ye path side is a bounder of long
ridge & Saml Long's land it being ye Same tree yt randall Mitchell & Daniel Long made
Probat of to be Samuel Long's Bounder  And further ye Said Hitch saith y.t a great
White Oake Standing up ye Branch or Dam near ye Mouth of a Small Branch
that Edmond Cullen made Oath to that robert Catlin told me the Said
tree was the uper Bounder of Long Ridge                              By vertue
