the same Benjamin Should be thereto requested yett the afd Benjamin tho' often thereto requested
the afd Sum of twenty pounds Currant lawfull money of america to the same John hath not
Rendered but the said Benjamin the same hitherto to do hath altogether denyed and still doth deny
and unjustly detain whereby the same John says he is worse and hath damage to the value of
forty pounds Like mony and thereof he brings this suite &.c  and the same John Brings here
into court the writing obligatory afd which the debt afd in form afd doth testifie whose date is ye
same day and year afd &c                                    Geo Dashiell P Quer pledges &c Jno Do R Roe

          And the afd Benjamin sharpe by Levin Gale his attorney Comes and defends the
force and Injury when &.c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he
hath it and the Same day is given to the afd Plft here also &c

                         Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of august anno Dom One thousand
seven hundred and twenty Eight Came againe as well the the afd John as the afd Benjamin by
their attorneys afd and thereupon the afd Benjamin by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle
hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given to the afd Plft here also

          Att which said next Court to witt the Ninteenth day of November Anno Dom One thousand
seven hundred and twenty Eight Came again as well the afd John as the afd Benjamin by
their attorney afd and the same attorney of the afd Benjamin says that he is not Informed by
the same Benjamin his Clyant of any answer for the same Benjamin to the afd John in ye
Plea afd to be given and nothing Els thereof Says by which the same Ben John ^remaines^ Against the
Benjamin thereof undefended &c

                                                             Therefore it is Considered that the afd John
Hobard Recover against the afd Benjamin Sharpe twenty pounds Curr.t Lawfull mony
366   of America his debt afd as also and his damages by Occasion of the detaining of the same
debt to three hundred & sixty six         pounds of tobacco to the same John by the Court
hereof his assent adjudged and the afd deft in Mercy &c

                         Isaac Coston late of somersett County Planter was attached
to answer unto Robert Boyer of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c
                            And whereupon the same Robert by Levin Gale his attorney Complaines that whereas
the afd Isaac the tenth day of march Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty seven at
somersett County within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted unto the same Robert in the sum
of One pound seventeen shillings and Six pence Curr.t mony for severvices before that time at his Especiall
Instance and request by the same Robert done and Performed and so thereof being Indebted the
said Isaac in Consideration thereof afterwards to witt the same day and year afd at the County
afd and within the afd Jurisdiction upon himselfe assumed and to the same Robert then &
there faithfully promised that he when afterwards he should be thereto Requested he the afd Sum
of One pound seventeen shillings and Six pence to the same Robert would well and faithfully
