Security according to Law to pay the orphans afd ^of^ the afd Jane their Respective parts or Shares of the afd Sum of thirteen pounds Eight Shillings and two pence According to Law and the will of the sd decd when they Shall arrive at full age to receive the same &c Thereupon the said John Jones present here in Court in his proper person with Wm Stoughton his Security acknowledged themselves to owe and Stand Indebted unto Ann North the wife of Thomas North, Richard Phillips, Sarah Phillips, Eliz.a Phillips, George Phillips, Jane Phillips, Dorothy Phillips and James Phillips orphans of the afd Jane Phillips dec.d in the sum of twenty six pounds sixteen shillings and four pence Curr.t mony to be levied of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenem.ts Joyntly and Severally for the Use of the afd orphans their heirs or assign's if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above John Jones his heirs or assigns do and shall well and truly pay unto Thomas North and Ann his wife, Richard Phillips, Sarah Phillips, Eliz.a Phillips, George Phillips, Jane Phillips, Dorothy Phillips and James Phillips orphans as afd their heirs or assignes the sum of thirteen pounds Eight Shillings and two pence (when they shall arrive at full age to Receive the Same) according to Law and the said dec.ds will then the above Recognizance to be void and of none Effect Otherwise to Stand & Remain in full force and virtue in law &c Ordered by the Court that Coll: Levin Gale overseer of the road and his Labourers, Capt Geo: Dashiell Overseer of the Road and his Labourers and M.r James Strawbridge Overseer of the Road and his Labourers, Joyn and assist Mr Thomas Gillis and his Labourers; to Clear ye road from William Alexanders into the main Road by Richard Pluncketts and after the said road is Once Cleared by the afd Overseers and their labourers, The afd Thomas Gillis and his Labourers to Keep ye said road well Cleared according to Law and that James Pope be added to the afd Thomas Gillis as one of his labourers to Clear the road afd &c Upon the Petition of the Severall the Inhabitants of Boquetennorton hundred against Clearing a road from Mad.m Hampton's plantation on the seaside according to a former Order of Court Obtained for Clearing the Same &c The Pet.n being read and heard and the premisses Considered, It's therefore ordered by the Court that Andrew Smith the Overseer of the Same Road Omitt Clearing thereof and further it is ordered by the Court that the same road be not deemed as a County Road for the future &c |
