attached to answer unto Betty Gale of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c

          And whereupon the Same Betty by Levin Gale her attorney Complain's that
whereas the afd George Hutchins in his life time the tenth day of August Anno Dom
one thousand Seven hundred and twenty five at Somersett County afd within the Jur
of this Court was Indebted unto the Same Betty in the Sum of two pounds Nine
shillings Currant mony of Maryland for Divers goods wares and merchandizes
to him at his Especiall Instance and request before that time by the Said
Betty Sold and Delivered and so thereof being Indebted the Said George in
his Life time afterwards to witt the afd tenth day of August in the year afd
at the County afd and within the afd Jurisdiction in Consideration thereof upon
himselfe assumed and to the Said Betty then and there faithfully promised
that he when afterwards he Should be thereunto Requested He the afd Sum
of two pounds Nine Shillings Curr.t Mony to the Same Betty wou'd well and
faithfully Content and pay Nevertheless the afd George in his Life time and
the afd Thomas and Adam (to whome Execution of the Last will and testam.t
of the Same George Since his Death was in due form of Law Committed) the
promise and assumption afd of the afd George in his Life time so as afd made
Little Regarding and plotting and fraudulently Intending her the Said Betty
in that part Craftilly and Subtilly to defraud and Deceive Neither the afd George
in his Life time nor the afd Thomas and Adam since his death the afd Sum of
two pounds Nine Shillings Currant mony unto the afd Betty hath paid or her for
it in any wise Contented altho the same to Do the afd George in his Life time
afterwards to witt the SAme day and Year afd and the afd Thomas and Adam
Since his death to witt the tenth day of Novem Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred
and twenty Seven at Somersett County afd within the Jurisdiction afd Wereby the said
Betty thereto Requested but they and Every of them the same hitherto to do have
altogether Refused and The Same Thomas and Adam the Same to Do still do
Refuse whereby the same Betty says she is worse and hath Damage to the value of
five pounds and thereof She Brings this Suite &c   Levin Gale P Qer pledges &c  Jno Doe R Roe
