for his good beheaviour and appearance at next Court &c but for want thereof the Said William Miles ^is^ Committed into the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County thereto remain untill &c the Said Sherr Present in Court took Charge of the Said William Miles accordingly &c And afterwards in the said Court Came the Said William Miles in Custody of the Sher of the County afd and thereupon the Said William Miles acknowledged himselfe to be Indebted unto the Right honrble the Lord proprietary of the province of maryland in ten pounds Sterr to be Levied upon his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors In Case the Said W.m Miles do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordship's County Court of Somersett the third tuesday of June next to answer unto his said Lordship Concerning all Such matters and things as Shall be Objected against him on his Said Lordships behalfe and to Stand and abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon and not to depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof and in the mean time to be of the good behaviour to all his Lordship's Leige people and more Especially to the Said Saml Hopkins &c Likewise a Certain Lazarus Maddox of Somersett County Planter Present here in Court in his proper person undertakes for the Said William Miles and acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in ten pounds Sterling to be Levied upon his body Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the Said Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors In Case the Said William Miles do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordship's County Court of Somersett the third tuesday of June next and of Answer unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary Concerning all Such matters and things as shall be then and there objected against him on his said Lordship's behalfe and to stand and abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon and not to depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof and in the mean time to be of the good behaviour to all his said Lordship's Leige people and more Especially to the afd Samuel Hopkins &c
act of assembly be perpetuated he therefore prays your worships would grant a Commission and appoint Commissioners according to the act of assembly afd and your Petitioner as in duty bound shall pray (the) |
