90 to Commence at the Expiration of her Indented Servitude afd ^it bounded adjudged full satisfaction for the Costs afd^ Likewise It is prayed the Court that they would adjudge the Said Mary Rekes ^to serve^ for Runaway time She having absented herselfe Nine days out of her said Masters Service whereupon the Said Mary Reaks is ordered to serve her said Master seven days for one which amounts to Sixty three days ^all^ which servitude to be Compleat and Ended at the Expiration of Servitude afd &c
County Gent Greeting Know ye that we have appointed you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine Evedences on behalfe of a Certain John Gunby of the County afd planter in relation to the bounds of two tracts of Land Lying in Annamessex in the County afd Called Kirks Purchase and Middle Ridge We Therefore require you or any three or two of you that at some time & place as to you or any three or two of you shall Seem Convenient you meet on the afd Lands Called Kirks Purchase & Middle ridge and there Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all such Evidences as Shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant (or Deft if any) & that you Examine thereupon there Corprell oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the Holy Evanglist of Almighty god in the presence of the Complainant (or deft if any) touching the truth or Remembrances of there Knowledge or any thing that may relate to the Cause afd & that reducing the Severall Dispositions unto Writting you Send the Same together with this our Commission under you ^or^ any three or two of your hands to us to our County Court of Somersett with all Conveniant Speed Wittness Samuel Hopkins Gent Chief Justice of our said Court the 19th day of November in y.e tenth year of our Dominion &c Ann Dom 1725 (p order) Thomas Hayward Clk On the backside of the foregoing Commission it was thus Endorst viz.t The Execution of the within Commission appears by a Schedall hereunto Ennexed The Deposition of Anthony Bell aged Sixty eight years or thereabouts relateing to y.e first Bounder of a tract of Land Surveyed for John Kirk Late of Somersett County in the province of Maryland Dec.d Called Kirks Purchase The Deponant being sworn according to y.e Direction of an Act of Assembly made at ye Citty of Annapolis y.e 23.d day of September 1723 Declears y.t John Kirk did Send for him the Deponant & some other of his familie & desired them to see the Land Called Kirks purchase run out & y.t according to the sd Kirks request he Came & that the first bounder was a pine Stump he y.e Deponant further declears that he knew y.e same w.n a growing tree & markd as a first bounder & saw y.e afd Land run out & to meet att or near y.e afd pine Stump & further Saith not The Depossion of Charles Cottingham aged fifty years or there abouts relating to the afd bounder of y.e afd tract of Land surveyed for Jn.o Kirk afd Called kirks Purchase The Deponent being sworn according to y.e aboves.d Direction Declears that the abovesaid M.r J. I. Kirk & M.r Anthony Bell went with him the Deponant to a Certain Pine Stump & y.t y.e s.d Jn.o Kirk did then & there declear that the Said pine Stump (was) |
