89 in the Same Court the Sherr Returns that he hath done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporall punishment afd he was Commanded thereupon it is Considered and Ordered by the Justices that the Said Thomas Travers Serve his said mistress Mary Hampton her heirs or assignes Eight full months to Comence at the Expiration of his now Indented servitude (to the said Mary Hampton) it being adjudged by the Court as Full Satisfaction for the four fold afd &.c Whereupon the Said Mary Hampton undertakes to deliver up the said Thomas Travers to the Court or Sherr of the County at the Expiration of his servitude to reemburst the County all the Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon the Said Thomas Travers is discharged &c
the use of his said Land by his Neighbour that denyeth the truth of his Bounder your humble petitioner humbly desireth that your worships would be pleased to ordain Commissioners according to the act of assembly for the proving of Bounders and your humble Petitioner as in duty bound shall Ever pray The Pet.n afd being Read and heard and the premisses Considered It is therefore Ordered by the the Court that a Commission Issue as by the Petition afd is praid and that Joseph Venables James MccMorie, Robert Givans and Joseph Pemberton all of Somersett County Gent be appointed Commissioners to Execute the Commission afd according to Law in Such Case provided &c
from under hand nor noe Other way Only my Passage from the main to the Islands who promised me to Carry me for nothing who used me very Barbarously and his wifes Brother and Sister threatned ye Said Alexander Argoe to Carry me to the main and toll how he Used me as Soon as he heard that he brought me to the main and Sold me to One Jn.o Johnson for fifteen Months and hath Nothing to Shew no Indenture nor nothing Els and wants to Oblige me to Serve for nothing only my Passage from the Main to the Islands Your petitioner desires Your Worships that She may have her Liberty to goe about her Own Business the man having noe authority to sel me and your Petitioner as in duty bound Shall Ever pray &c The Petition afd being read and heard and the premisses Considered as well on the Part of the Said Petitioner as on the part of the Said Jn.o Johnson and Likewise their Severall allegeations being maturelly weighed by the Court It is ordered by the Court that the Said Mary Rekes return to the Service of her Master John Johnson and Serve Out her Indented time and Likewise the Said Indenture is adjudged by the Court to be good Indenture &c Whereupon the Said Jno John^son^ Undertakes to pay the Severall Officers their Fees due by occasion of the Premisses afd which amounts to two hundred and Sixty four pounds of tobo Whereupon the Said Mary Rekes is adjudged to serve the said John Johnson his heirs or assignes four full months (to) |
