1725 88 Cottingham, John Waters, Stephen Horsey, Peter Frazer, Moses Duskey, Daniel Maddux Francis Lancake James Jones John Shiles, Davis Hutson, Jn.o Aydelott, Jn.o Townsend Jun.r who being duly Elected tryed and Sworn to Say the truth in the Premisses afd upon their Oath do say that the Said Joseph Harrison is not guilty of the felony whereof he Stands Indicted &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the Said Jos Harrison of the felony afd be thereof acquitt and goe thereof without day &c whereupon its Ordered by the Court that the Said Joseph Harrison give Security for the payment of al the Officers their fees due by Means of the Premisses afd thereupon a Certain Joseph Pemberton of Somersett County of Somersett County Gent Present in Court undertakes for the Said Joseph Harrison to pay the Severall officers their fees due by means of the Premisses afd upon the Indictm.t afd Likewise it is Ordered by the Court that the Said Joseph Harrison ^give^ recognizance with a Security for his good behaviour toward a Certain Robert West &c Thereupon the Said Joseph Harrison together with William Young his Security present in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in manner and form following viz.t the afd Joseph Harrison & William Young in the Sum of ten pounds Sterling Each good and Lawfull money of England to be Seperatly Levied upon their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of the Said Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors In Case the Said Joseph Harrison doe not be of the good behaviour to all his Lordships Leige people and more Especially to the Said robert West dureing the pleasure of the Court afd Afterwards at the prayer of Levin Gale his Lordships attorney afd the Said Joseph Harrison with his Security is discharged from the recognizance afd Thereupon at the prayer of the afd Joseph Harrison he was discharged ^Cleared^ by proclamation in Usuall form &c
give Security to Stand and abide the Judgm.t of this Court &c Thereupon a Certain William Mathew of SOmersett County Planter Present herein Court undertakes for the Said Thomas Travers and acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary of this province his heirs and Successors in ten pounds Sterling to be Levied upon his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietarie his heirs and Successors In Case the Said Thomas Travers do not Stand and abide the Judgm.t of this Court &.c and do not depart without Lycence thereof &c Somersett fs The Jurors for the right honrble the Lord proprietary of this province that Now is for the body of Somersett County upon their Oath do present that Thomas Traverse Late of (Somersett) |
