87 Called Over by their Names do appear as above and thereupon they are Sworn and Charged and Sent Out to Consider who soon after Return and present to the Court the following presentments vizt Presentment against Catherine Killy, Mary Ach, Elizabeth Ackman Peirce Davis and Mary Ricards being Content that the Court Should put the presentments into form altering no matter of Substance in them which they find to be true thereupon the grand Jurors afd all accordingly discharged and ordered that they be allowed the Sum of five hundred pounds of tobo to be paid Next Levy Court and against the afd Catherine Killy, Mary Ach, Elizabeth Ackman, Peirce Davis, and Mary Ricards afd Presented it is Ordered that Capias Issue Returnable to Next Court &c Francis Allen high Sherr of Somersett County Offers to this Court a Certain James Bowcher as his Sub Sherr is approved of he takeing the Oath appointed by act of assembly to the government thereupon the Said James Bowcher took the Severall Oaths appointed by act of assembly with the Oath of under Sherr and Subscribed the Oath of abjuration and test &c Thomas Hayward Cl took the Severall Oaths appointed by act of assembly to the government and Subscribed the Oath of abjuration and test &c Whereas a Certain James Lipsey was Committed by the Justices of Northampton County Court in the Colony of Vergenia into the Custody of the Sherr of their Said County the Said James Lipsey being Suspected of Stealing of ^a^ Black mare in Queen ann County in Maryland of the Price or Value of Nine hundred pounds of tobo as appears by the Records of Queen ann County Court the Said James Lipsey to be delivered into the Custody of the Sherr of Accomack County in Vergenia and the Said Sherr Last mentioned to deliver him up to the County Court of Somersett &c Thereupon this day to witt the fifteenth day of march Came the Sherr of accomack County afd into Court and brings the Said James Lipsey who is Immediately Committed into the Custody of a Certain James Weatherly Constable of Nanticoke hundred to be by him in his Custody Safely Kept and Immediately Conveyed into the Custody of One of the Constables of Dorchester County there to be dealt with according to Law &c
of the former as P Certificate from under the hands of Mr Solomon Colebourn and Mr Peter Frazer (who viewed the Same) may appear these are therefore humbly to pray that your worships will be pleased to grant an Order for the Confirmation of the New Road and your petitioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray The Petition afd being read and heard and the premisses Considered Its Ordered by the Court that the New road afd Remain and Continue unalterable and that he make it good and Passable at his own proper Charge &c |
