53 William Hopkins if &c to answer &c and afterwards in the Same Court Comes the said William Hopkins in Custody of the Sherr and being by the Sherr sett to the Bar and Information Read pleads Guilty and puts himself in Mercy of the Lord proprietary and is willing to make fine to the ^a^ Lord proprietary for the fact afd &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the Said William Hopkins be fined to the Right honrble the Lord proprietary the sum of thirty Shillings for the fact afd which fine was paid down in Court to Joseph MccClester Sherr &c and that he be Committed for the fine afd &c Whereupon It's ordered by the Court that the said William Hopkins give security for his good behaviour dureing the pleasure of the Court Thereupon the said Will.m Hopkins present acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Sume of ten pounds sterling to be Levied on his goods and Chattells Lands and tenements for the use of the said Lord proprietary In Case he is not of the good behaviour dureing the pleasure of the Court and not to depart without Lycence thereof &c Like^wise^ Jno Scarbrough of Somersett County Gent present in Court acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Sum of ten pounds Sterling to be Levied on his Body goods and Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of his Said Lordship In Case the Said William Hopkins is not of the good Behaviour dureing the pleasure of the Court and not to depart without Lycence thereof &c And afterwards in the ^same^ Court Comes the same William Hopkins into Court and prays that his appearance may be recorded to same himselfe and security from the above recognizance of bail thereupon the Said William Hopkins Appearance is Recorded and he accordingly discharged &c
Informed that Frances Watson Late of Somersett County Spinster the tenth day of December at Somersett County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court Seventeen hundred & twenty four Committed fornication with a Certain Person against the peace &c and also against the form of the act of assembly in Such Cases made &c wherefore the Same Levin for the Same Lord proprietary prays advisem.t of the Court here in the premisses and that due process of Law may Issue Levin Gale Clk Ind Thereupon Command was Given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he Should Take the (said) |
