Richard Pelavery &c Whereupon a Certain absolom ford of Somersett County present here in Court undertakes for the said Esther Jenckins ^and acknowledged himselfe to owe & stand Justly Indebted unto the Lord proprietary his heirs & successors^ in ten pounds sterling to be Levied on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use of the Lord proprietary In Case the Said Esther Jenckins do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of November Next to give Evidence on behalfe of the Said Lord proprietary against the said Richard Pelavery and not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof &c James Polk appears according to his Recognizance Entered into Last Court for his appearance this Court and is dischared therefrom &c Robert Harris appears according to his Recognizance Entered into Last Court and is discharged he and his Securitys therefrom &c Elianor Porter appears according to her Recognizance Entered into before Capt William Planner One of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Somersett County for her appearance ^at this Court^ and for as much as now person appeared to pray the said Elianor Porter might be Continued bound She is discharged from the afd Recognizance she giveing Security for the paym.t of all the Officers fees due by occasion of the premises afd Thereupon a Certain Joseph Porter and undertakes for the said Elianor Porter to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by Occation of the premisses afd &c
proprietary gives the Court here to understand and be Inform'd that William Hopkins Late of Somersett County Planter the Twenty Eighth day of July Seventeen hundred and Twenty five at the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and arms viz.t horsewhips fists &c in & upon a Certain John Scarbrough in the Peace of God and Our Lord proprietary then and there being an assault did make and him did beat would and Evilly treat so that of his Life it was despaired & other harms to him the said John then and there did do to the great damage of to the Same John and against the Peace of Our Said Lord proprietary his good Rule and government wherefore the Said Levin Gale for the Said Lord proprietary prays advisement of the Court hereupon the premisses & that due process of Law may Issue &c L Gale Cler Indictmts Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he Should take the said (Will.m) |
