August Court Court
1725 47 all due to be Levied upon their goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements for the use of his Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and successors The Condition of which Recognizance is such that if the above Bound William Robertson do make his personall appearance the third tuesday of august next before his Lordship the Lord proprietarys Justices of the at Dividing Creek in the County afd at a Court then and there to be held to answer unto all Such Matters and things as shall be objected against him on behalfe of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary and others and abide the Judgm.t of the Court that then this Recognizance to be Null and Void Otherwise to be Null and Void Remain in full force & vertue John MccClester John Handy Thereupon the afd William Robertson in his Own proper person appears and prays that his appearance may be Recorded to save himselfe and securitys from the above recognizance of of Bail Whereupon the said William Robertson's appearance is Recorded and he and his Securitys accordingly discharged Thereupon the said William Robertson is Committed into the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County there to remain untill he shall be discharged by due Course of Law the Said Sherr being present ^in Court^ took Charge of the said William Robertson accordingly &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that Thomas Gordan give recognizance in five pounds Sterr for his appearance before the Justices of assize Nisi prius Oyer and terminer and Goal delivery the first tuesday of September Next and Prosecute a Certain William Robertson for Suspition of Felony &c Thereupon the said Thomas Gordan present in Court acknowledged himselfe to owe & stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary his heirs and Successors in five pounds Sterr to be Levied on his Body goods and Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of his Said Lordship in Case the Said Thomas Gordan do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of assize ^Nisi prius^ Oyer and Terminer and Goal delivery the first tuesday of September Next and prosecute the afd William Robertson for Suspition of feloney &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court Henry Windsor William Philips and Robert Ingram give recognizance in forty pounds Sterr Each for their appearance before the Justices of assize Nisi prius oyer and terminer and Goal delivery to give Evidence On Behalf of the Lord proprietary against a Certain William Robertson Thereupon the Said Henry Windsor, William Philips and Robert Ingrum all present in Court acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Sum of forty pounds Sterling ^Each^ to be Levied on their Bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship In |
