Being Called Likewise Came to witt John Caldwell, John Watts, John Donelson, James Rownd, Edmond
Hough, William Lane, Joseph Vennables, Thomas Gorden, James Lindow, John Tunstall
Daniel Maddux ^and^ John Waters who Being duly Elected Tryed and Sworn to Say the Truth of the
Premisses upon their Oath do Say that the afd Love Hobbs is Guilty of the speaking the scandolous words
afd of ^her^ the afd Ann Covington as she the said Ann above againest her Hath Complained and do assess the damages
of the afd Ann by Occation of the speaking of the words afd  Besids her Costs and Charges by her about her
suite in that part Expended to Tenn pounds Currant mony and ^for those Costs & Charges to^ one pound of Tobacco Cost &c

                   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here the fifteenth day of June Anno Dom one thousand
seven hundred & twenty five afd that the afd Ann Covington Recover against the afd Love Hobbs
as well the Sum of tenn pounds Curr.t money and one pounds of tobacco her damages afd by the Jurors
(983)   afd in form afd assessed as also the sum of Nine hundred & Eighty three                              pounds of
tobacco to the same Ann Covington at her request for her Costs and Charges afd by the Court here of Increas
adjudged and the afd deft in Mercy &c

Somersett County fs  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces
of maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To ^Edward Rownd^ James ^Rownd^ William Selby
and John Scarbrough of Somersett County Gentl:  Greeting Know ye that we
                have appointed you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine Evidences
       on behalfe of a Certain John Hudson Jun.r of the County afd Gentl: in relation to the bounds of
       two tracts of Land Lying in the County afd on the sea board side the One Called S.t Lawrences Neck
       the Other deal      We therefore require you or any three or two of you that at some time and
       place as to you or any three or two of you shall Seem Convenient you mete on the afd two tracts
       of Land named as afd and there Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all such Evidences
       as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant and that you Examine
       them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the
       holy Evangelist of Almighty God in the presence of the Complainant afd (and deft if any) touching
       the truth or remembrance of their Knowledge or any thing that may relate to the Cause afd and that
       Reduceing the Severall depositions into writing you send the same ^together^ with this Our Commission under
       your or any three or two of your hands to us to Our County Court of Somersett with all Convenient
       speed Wittness Samuel Hopkins Gent.n Cheife Justice of Our Said Court the 20.th day of March in ye
       Ninth Year of Our Dominion &c anno Dom 1724               p order               Thomas Hayward Cler

                   On the backside of the foregoeing Commission it was thus Endorsed vizt  the Execution
       of the within Commission appears as by a schedule hereunto annexed
