33 same Levin Denwood says he is worse and hath damage to the value of Eighty pounds Curr.t money of maryland and thereof he brings this Suite &c and the same Levin Denwood brings hereinto Court the writing Obligatory afd &c w.ch &c L Gale P Quer Pledgs &c Jno Doe R Roe And the said Robert Hudson in his Own proper person Comes and defends the force and Injury when &c and says that he Cannot Gainsay the plft his action afd against him brought nor Can he say but that the writing Obligatory afd is his act and deed and that the debt therein Mentioned is Yett due & unsatisfyed wherefore the afd plft prays Judgm.t for his debt afd and his Costs and Damages sustained by occasion of the detaining of the same Debt &c Therefore it is Considered by the Court here the fifteenth day of June Anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and twenty five that the afd Levin Denwood Recover against the afd Robert Hudson as well the sum of one hundred & sixty pounds Currt money of Maryland his debt afd as 339 also the Sum of three hundred & thirty Nine pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Damages sustained by Occasion of the detaining the Same debt to the Same Levin Denwood of his assent by the Court here adjudged & the afd deft in Mercy &c
whereas the said Philip A good true and Chast Subject of Our Lord the King now is and a good true Chast Pious and honest person from the time of his Nativity hitherto hath always Governed and behaved himselfe and of good name fame Condition Creditt Conversation ^&^ Repute as well by all his Neighbours as all other good people to whom he was known hath be ^been^ accounted Esteemed & reputed and Never any forni adultery Incontinency or any such wicked or base Crime Committed or perpetrated and from all Note Spott or Suspition of any Such Crime by the whole Course of his Life hitherto hath behaved Remained Lived and Continued by means whereof the same Philip hath Obtained the Love favour and good will of all his Neighbours and Other good people of this province Nevertheless the said Elizabeth not Ignorant of the premisses but Envying the happy Estate and Condition of the same Philip Maliciously Intending the said Philip of his good Name fame Creditt Estimation and repute afd to deprive and also (he being now and for Severall Years before a married Man) into danger of Innocently of paying twelve hundred pounds of tobacco three pounds Curr.t money or being Whiped the tenth day of march Seventeen hundred & twenty four at the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court these falce feigned an approbrious words and Lyes following then and there to a Certain Thomas Cary (then and ^there^ searching for the afd Noble Hobbs by vertue of a warrent to him for that (purpose) |
