Cepi Corpus P Joseph MccClester Sherr   Whereupon the said Robert Macklin at the prayer of the
plfts attorney afd is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd   thereupon a Certain Levin Gale of Somersett
County Gentleman present in Court undertakes for the said Rob.t Macklin that if in Case the said Somersett
Handy shall Recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the said Robert Macklin or that the said Robert
Macklin shall be therein Convict that then he the said Robert Macklin shall pay the Condemnation of the
Court thereupon ^or Render his Body to the Custody of the Sher of Somersett County afd^ or that he the said Levin Gale will doe it for him

             Whereupon the said Robert Macklin by Levin Gale his attorney Comes and defends the force &
Injury when &c and sayeth that he Cannot gainsay the plft his action afd against him brought nor
Can he say but that the bond or writing Obligatory afd is his act and deed & that the debt therein
mentioned is yett due and unsatisfyed wherefore the said plft prayeth Judgm.t for his debt afd and
his Costs and damages sustained by occasion of the detention of the same debt &c

             Therefore it is Considered by the Court here the sixteenth day of March ann Dom one thousand
seven hundred & twenty four afd that the said Samuel Handy Recover against the Said Robert Macklin
as well the sum of three thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco his debt afd as also the sume
(443)   of four hundred & forty three                       pounds of tobacco for his Costs and damages sustained
by occasion of the detention of the same debt to the same Samuel by his assent by the Court here adjudged
with Stay of Execution till ye tenth of Novem Next and the afd Robert Macklin in Mercy &c

 This being an action of Debt for Eleven pounds two Shillings and Six pence
Curr.t money wherein the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt ^in the same^ was
directed Cometh and maketh Return thereof Endorsed in these words vizt  Cepi Corpus
                                                 p Joseph MccClester Sherr:  Whereupon the said Nathaniel Horsey being Called appears
and thereupon the said Nathaniel Horsey at the prayer of the plft attorney is adjudged to give Speciall
bail to ye action afd:  thereupon a Certain Robert Ware and Thomas Bell of Somersett County Gentlemen all
present in Court undertakes for the said Nathaniel Horsey that if in Case the Said Richard Bennett Shall
Recover Judgm.t in ye plea afd against the Said Nathaniel Horsey or that the Said Nathaniel Horsey Shall
be therein Convict that then he the said Nathaniel Horsey Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court
thereupon or Render his body to the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County ^in satisfaction thereof^ or that they the said Robert
Ware and Thomas Bell will doe it for him            Whereupon the said Nathaniel Horsey prays that
Richard Bennett may give security & Sett for Costs in Case nonsuite be Obtained against him the plea afd which is by
the Court Granted   thereupon the said Nathaniel Horsey present undertakes for the Said Richard Bennett
yt in Case he be nonsuited in ye plea afd or Otherwise Legally Cast that then the said Richard Bennett Shall pay
ye Condemnation of the Court thereupon and all Costs accrueing unto the Said Nathaniel Horsey or that he ye said Nathl
Horsey will do it for him    thereupon ye sd Nat Horsey in his own proper pson apprs & Imparls till next Court &c
