   Owen Owens
     This being an action of trespass upon the Case &c wherein the sherr of Somersett
County to whom the writt in the same action was directed Comes and makes Return
       thereof Endorsed vizt   Cepi Corpus P Francis Allen sher

             Whereupon the afd Owen Owens being Called appears and thereupon the said Owen Owens at the
       prayer of the afd Henry Fitzwaters by his attorney afd is adjudged to give speciall bail to the action
       afd thereupon a Certain William Waters Jun.r present here in Court under takes for the said Owen Owens
       that in Case the said Henry Fitzwaters Shall Recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the afd Owen
       Owens or that the said Owen Owens Shall be there in Convict that then he the Said Owen Owens shall
       pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or Render his body to the Custody of ^the^ Sher of Somersett
       County in satisfaction thereof or that he the said William Waters will do it for him thereupon ye
       said Owen Owens by George Dashiell his attorney appears and Imparles till next Court &c

 Memorand.m the Plft by Levin Gale his attorney sued out his Lordships Writt of
attachm.t the tenor whereof followeth in these words vizt
Somersett fs  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland
and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To ye Sherr of Somrsett County
                         Greeting we Command you yt you attach any the goods Chattles rights
    or Creditts of Tho.s Brown Late of Somrsett County Planter if they Shall be found
    in your Bailywick to the value of Eleven hundred pence & when you have the
    Same attached or any part thereof ye Same in your Custody safe Keep so y.t
    you have the same before the Justices of our County Court to be held at
    Dividing Creek in Somrsett County afd the third tuesday of June Next then &
    there to be Condemned according to act of assembly to & for ye use of a Certain John Pope
    unless the said Thomas Brown by himselfe or attry appear & answer unto the said Jno Pope
    in a plea of trespass upon the Case &c according to Law & yt by good & Lawfull Men of
    your Bailywick you Make Known unto ye person or persons in whose hands you make
    ye same attachm.t yt he she or they be & appear before ye Justices of our said Coty Court to be
    held as afd to Shew Cause if any he she or they have why ye same goods & Chattles rights
    or Creditts as attached in her or there hands ought not to be Condemned & Execution thereof
    had & made according to the forme of the act of assembly in such Case made & provided
    if to him her or them it Shall seem Meet & how you Shall Execute this Writt yt you make
    known unto our said Justices at ye same day & place afd & have you then & there this
    Writt Wittness Samuel Hopkins Gent Chief Justice of our said Court the 25th day of
    March in ye 12th year of our Dominion &c

       Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the twentieth day of the Same Month ann.o Dom one
    thousand seven hundred and twenty seven being the day of the Return of the said Writt Cometh ye
    said John Pope by his attorney afd and the sher of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing
