Rebecca Hunnings
We of the grand Jury Representing the body of Somersett County do present
Rebecca Hunnings of Stepney Parish Spinster for the bearing of a bastard
Child in the said Parish and was delivered of the same the 3d day of march

       or thereabouts
Stephen Tully Constable of Nanticoke hundred Informer

                            Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should take
       the said Rebecca Hunnings if she should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe Keep so that
       he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at
       Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next to answer his said Lordship Concerning a Certain
       Presentment against her found And that thereof he should not fail &c

          Att which said third tuesday of June ann.o Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty seven being ye
       day of the Return of the said writt Cometh the said Sherr to whom the foregoeing writt was directed
       Cometh and maketh Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words vizt Cepi Corpus p
                                                                                                                Francis Allen sherr

             Whereupon the afd Rebecca Hunnings in her own proper person appears and being Instantly
       demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd saith that of the premisses afd above  
       upon her Imposed she is guilty thereof and putt herselfe in Mercy and hath nothing nor noe person to
       pay her fine for the fact afd
                                                         Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Rebecca
       Hunnings be whipt with Five Lashes on the bare Back well Laid on untill the blood appear and
       that she be taken &c and thereupon as to the Corporall Punishm.t afd Command is given to the
       sherr of Somersett County that he do thereof Immediate Execution according to the Judgm.t afd
       Rendered by whiping the afd Rebecca Hunnings at the publick whiping post with five Lashes on the
       bear back well Laid on untill the blood appear and afterwards in the same Court the sher Returns
       that he has done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporall punishm.t afd he was Commanded
       thereupon the said Rebecca Hunnings is ordered to give security for the payment of the severall officers
       their fees due by means of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain James Bowcher present here in Court
       undertakes for the said Rebecca Hunnings to pay the Severall Officers their Fees due by occasion of
       the premises &c

We of the Grand Jury Representing the body of Somersett County do present Isbell Mills
Spinster of the parish of Somersett for bastard bearing and was delivered of the same
the sixth day of march one thousand seven hundred and twenty six or thereabouts
