     This being an action of Debt for twelve pounds ten
shill.s Curr.t money brought by Priscilla Polk Exrx of Wm Polke

ag.t a Certain Thomas Gordan wherein the sherr of Somersett County
                      to whom the writt in the same action was directed Cometh and maketh Return
       thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words following vizt    Cepi Corpus p Fran Allen sher
       Whereupon the afd Thomas Gordan being Present here in Court in his proper person is
       at the prayer of the Plfts attorney afd adjudged to give speciall Bail to the action afd
       thereupon a Certain Jn.o Caldwell and John Jones Late of Somersett County Gentlemen ^Present here in Court^
       undertakes for the said Thomas Gordan that if in Case the said Priscilla Polke shall
       Recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the afd Thomas Gordan or that he the said Thomas
       Gordan shall be there in Convict that then he the said Thomas Gordan shall pay the
       Condemnation of the Court thereupon or Render his Body to the Custody of the Sherr
       of Somersett County in Sattisfaction thereof or that they the said John Caldwell and
       John Jones will Do it for him &c                                         Thereupon the afd
       said Thomas Gordan in his own proper person appeares and Imparles hereunto untill
       the next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the afd Plft here also

Command was given to the sherr of Somersett County that he should
take Jos: Jackson Late of Somersett County planter if he should be found
in his Bailywick and him should safe Keep so that he might have his Body
       Before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at dividing
Creek the third tuesday of march then next to answer unto John Stevens of a plea of
       trespass upon the Case &c  and that thereof he should not fale &c

             And the aforesaid John Stevens by George Dashiell his attorney Complaineth against
       the afd Josep Jackson in the plea afd as followeth viz.t

                   Joseph Jackson Except you or Some Other person Lawfully authorized for you
       appear at our next Court to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of march next
       Instant to answer an action on the Case brought by John Stevens for two pounds five
       Shillings and Seven Pence halfe Penny attachm.t will go against you Effects if any
       to be found in Somersett County         Dashiell

       a Copy of the foregoeing short note was made and sent to be Left according to act of
       assembly In such Case made and provided                        Att which said third tuesday
