    Novem: Court        1726             201

had absented himselfe out of his masters service twelve days &.c  And the said Abraham Smith
prays that the said John Swan may be adjudged to serve him for the runaway time afd
according to act of assembly &.c  Whereupon the Said John Swan is adjudged by the Court to
serve his said Master Abraham smith for the runaway time afd five days for ^each &^ every one of
the twelve days that he absented himselfe Out of his Service as afd which amounts in the
whole to Sixty Days which Service or time of Servitude afd adjudged by the Court to Commence
of at the End of his now servitued &c

Ordered by the Court that Lazarus Maddox of Pocomoke Clear a ^bridle^ road from Stevensons branch
to Lead to the Court house at the Direction of Giddion Tilman and John Tilman &c

Ordered by the Court that Stephen Odear Clear a bridle Road from the wading Place over Back
Creek to Stephensons Branch the Nearest & Best way at the Direction of Giddion Tilman and John
Tilman &c

Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should
take Patrick Burn if &.c to answer unto the Petn of Robert Truman
&.c  Afterward in the Same Court Came the said Patrick Burn in
Custody of the said sherr &.c  Whereupon it is ordered by the Court
that the said Patrick Burn give security for his appearance at next march Court to answer
unto the Petion afd of the afd robert Truman

       Whereupon the afd Patrick Burn with a Certain Bennonj Edwards his Security present
here in Court acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted in the Sum of twenty
pounds Ster.ll Each good and Lawfull money of England of their bodys goods and Chattells Lands
and tenements to be made and Levied to the use of the afd robert Truman his heirs and assigns

          In case the afd Patrick Burn do not make his personally appearance before the Justices
of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of
march then next to answer unto the Pet.n of the afd robert Truman and not to depart the same
Court without Lycence thereof and to send Stead and abide the Judgmt of the Court thereon &c

six pd.s seventeen Shill.s & Eleven pence to be paid unto ye sd Betty Mary & Jane
Bolitha's their heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or assignes to ye which payment well &
Truly to be made & done we Bind Our Selves Our & Either of our heirs
Ex.rs & adm.rs for ye whole & in ye while Joyntly & Severally firmly by these
