the said Honour Norgate if she should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe Keep so that he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then Next to answer unto his Said Lordship Concerning a Certaine presentm.t against her found &c and that thereof he should not fail &c Att which said third tuesday of June being the fifteenth day of the same month anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty five being the day of the Return of the said Writt Cometh the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed and maketh Return thereof Endorsed vizt Cepi Corpus p Joseph MccClester Sherr Whereupon the said Honour Norgate being sett to the barr by the Sherr and the presentm.t being Read pleads guilty and putts herselfe in Mercy of the Lord proprietary and prays that she may be admitted to make fine to the Said Lord proprietary for the fact afd Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the Said Honour Norgate be fined to the Lord proprietary (to be appropriated toward the defraying of the County Charge) the Sum of thirty Shillings Curr.t money for the fact afd Whereupon the Justices at the Prayer of Philip Covington Master of the said Honour Norgate doe adjudge that the said Honour Norgate should serve her said Master ten full month to Commence at the End of the said Honour Norgates ^Now^ Service the said ten Month Service being adjudged to be full satisfaction for damages trouble and Loss of time the said Philip Covington had at the time of her Child bearing &c
Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he Should take the Said Esther Jenkins of Annamessex if She Should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe Keep so that good her should safe Keep so that he might have her body Before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next to answer unto his said Lordship Concerning a Certain presentm.t against her found &c and that thereof she should not fail &c Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the fifteenth day of the same month anno Dom One thousand seven hundred & twenty four being the day of the return of the said Writt Cometh the said Sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing Writt was directed and maketh return thereof Endorsed vizt Cepi Corpus p Jos MccClester Sher |
