Whereupon all and singular the Premises by the Court here seen heard and fully understood &
mature deliberation thereupon had as well on the part of the Said Petitioner as on the Part of the
said Thomas Baker and the said Thomas Baker sent his Note from under his hand directed
the Justices that he had nothing to say why the same Anslowe should be detained in his service &c

       Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here the same day & year that the Said James
Andslow from the service of his said Master Thomas Baker goe thereof acquitt &c

Mary Chorne
We of the grand Jury do present Mary Chorne of Manny hundred spinster for bearing

a bastard Child on or about February Last           W.m Lane Foreman

                Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should take the said
Mary Chorne if she should be found in his Baily wick and her safe Keep so that he might have her body before
the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of
June then next and that thereof had to answer unto his Lordship Concerning a Certain Presentm.t against
her found &c and that thereof he should not fail &c

          Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the fifteenth day of the same month ann Dom One
thousand seven hundred and twenty five being the day of the return of the said Writt Cometh the Sherr of
Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed and maketh return thereof to the Court here Endorsed
in these words viz.t                                                Cepi Corpus P Joseph MccClester Sherr

       Whereupon the said Mary Chorne being by the Sherr sett to the Barr is Instantly demanded how she would
acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd Imposed upon her saith that of the Premisses afd so as afd upon her
Imposed she is Guilty thereof and put herselfe in Mercy of the said Lord proprietary but hath not
wherewithall to pay her fine for the fact afd      Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices that the
said Mary Chorne be whipt with fifteen Lashes at the publick whiping Post with on the bare back
well Laid on untill the blood appear and as to the Corporall Punishm.t afd Command is given to
the Sherr of Somersett County that he do thereof Immidiate Execution by whiping the afd Mary Chorne
at the Publick whiping Post on the bear Back ^well Laid on^ untill the Blood appear and afterwards the ^said^ Sherr
Return's in the same Court that he hath done the Execution of the Judgmt afd as tot he Corporall Punishmt
afd he was Commanded &c                thereupon the said Mary Chorne is Ordered to give security for fees
that accrued unto the several offices by occasion of the premisses      Whereupon a Certain William Stempleton
undertakes for the said Mary Chorne to pay the Severall Officers theirs fees due by means of the
premisses afd &c
