17 appearance before the Justices of the County Court of Somersett the third tuesday of August next to answer unto his Lordship Concerning all Such Matters and things as Shall be Objected against him on his said Lordships behalfe and not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof & in the Mean time to be of the good behaviour toward al his said Lordships Liege People &c Likewise a Certain Richard Knight and Stephen Coston both of Somersett County Planters present here in Court undertakes for the said Robert Harris as his Securitys and acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the right honrble the Lord proprietary ^his heirs & successors^ in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterr Each Joyntly and Severally to be Levied ^on their goods and Chattles Lands or tenements^ in Cas for the Use of his said Lordship In Case the said Robert Harris doth not make his personal appearance before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of august next to answer unto his Said Lordship his heirs and successors Concerning all Such matters and things as shall be objected agt him on his said Lordships behalfe and to stand and abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon & not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof and in the Meantime to be of the good behaviour toward all his Lordships Liege people &c Adam a negro boy belonging to Cap.t John Donelson is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of three years this term &c Hannah a negro girle of Capt John Donelsons is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of two years this term &c Roger Anderson a Servant boy belonging to Capt James Lindow Imported into this Country in the Sloop Called John of Doublin is adjudged to be of the age of twelve years this terme &c
paying taxes for the said Negro woman and your petitioner shall as in duty bound ever pray &c Wm Cox The petition afd being read and heard and Maturally Considered It's therefore Ordered by the Court that the said William Cox be discharged for the future from paying taxes for the said Negro Woman as by the petition afd is pray'd &c
grant him such releife as is agreeable to Equity and Justice and your petitioner shall Ever pray &c James Green Whereupon |
