       June Court           1725           16

    Whereas a Certain Price Collins of Somersett County Planter being returned on the Pannell
of the Orphan Jury by the Sherr of Somersett County &c
And upon ye said Price Collins altho solemnly Called Comes not nor shews Cause why &c but makes default

                      Wherefore It is Considered by the Justices here that the said Price Collins be fined
to his Lordship the Lord proprietarie the sume of five hundred pounds of tobacco for his default afd

     To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County Court the Petition of John Evans
Humbly sheweth                   That Thomas Fowler Late of this County dec.d hath Left behind
    him Severall Children who remain in the Possession of                           Fowler their mother in Law and John
Collins who are not able to provide for them Your Petitioner (being Nearly related to the said orphans)
therefore humbly prays you worships to Consider the premisses and do therein what is agreeable to
Justice and Equity and your Petitioner shall Ever pray         John Evans

                   The Petition afd being read and heard      Thereupon its Ordered by the Court that
the said John Evans take under his Care the Orphan Children of the afd Thomas Fowler dec.d vizt Thomas
Fowler, Ann Fowler, and Eliz.a Fowler orphans afd so that he have them at August Court Next to
be disposed of according to Law &c


Richard Crockett's
negro Tax free
    Upon the mocon of William Stoughton Esq.r to the Court for to have a negroe of
Richard Crocketts Called Squint Tax free  he being not able to do any Manner of Labour
       &c   Wherefore it is Considered by the Court that the said Richard Crockett be for the future discharged
       from paying of taxes for the said Negro Called Squint &c

     To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County now in Court Sitting the humble

Petition of Mathew Dorman, William Brown and John Owens humbly sheweth that
we having formerly petitioned your worships about Removing of a road that Leads
                         from the head of Manocan to wickaccomoco Creek   Now we have Cleared and Causwayed the
    said Peice of Road being but a Small matter about    Your Petitioners humbly Beggs that the said
Peice of road may be allowed of and your Petitioners as in duty bound shall pray

       The Petition afd being read and heard and Maturally Considered.   It is therefore Ordered by the
Court that the said Road so as afd Petitioned for be refered to the view of Capt Levin Gale and Capt
George Dashiell and that they make their report thereof to august Court Next &c
