 Memorand.m the Plfts sued sued out his Lordships writt of scirefacias against the deft the
tenor whereof followeth in these words viz.t     Somersett fs  Charles absolute Lord

and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore
                         &c  To the Sherr of Somersett County Greeting whereas a Certain Levin Denwood al.s Dictus Leaven
Denwood Lately in Our County Court here to witt the fifteenth day of June ann.o Dom one thousand seven
hundred and twenty five before Samuel Hopkins Gent and his associated then Our Justices of Our County
Court of Somersett at Dividing Creek and by Consideration of the Same Court Recovered against a Certain
Michael Holland Late of Somersett County Planter al.s Dict.s Michael Holland of this County of Somerset
in the Province of Maryland as well a Certain Debt of one hundred and sixty pounds Curr.t mony of
maryland as also the Sum of four hundred and Nine pounds of tobacco which to the same Levin in our
Same Court were adjudged for his Costs and damages which he had by occasion of of the detention of the
Debt afd whereof he is Convict as by the Record and process thereof in our Court before our Justices at
Dividing Creek now Remaining manifestly appeareth Nevertheless Execution of the Judgm.t afd as yet
Remaineth to be done and the afd Levin Denwood is since dead as by the Insinuation of Betty Gale &
Levin Gale Executors of the Testament of the afd Levin Denwood we have Received and because
we are Willing that those things which in Our Said County Court are Rightly Done Should Come to
a due Execution; we Command you that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailywick you make Known
unto the said Michael Holland that he be & appear before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at
dividing Creek the third tuesday of march next to Shew Caus if anything for himselfe he hath or Knoweth
to Say wherefore the afd Betty Gale and Levin Gale and Betty Gale Executors as afd there Execution
against the said Michael Holland of the debt and damages afd Ought not to have according to the
form of the Recovery afd if to him it seemeth Expedient and have you then & there the Names of those
&c
             Att which Said third tuesday of March to witt the fifteenth day of the Same month anno Dom one
thousand seven hundred and twenty five being the day of the Return of the Said Writt Cometh the Said
Betty Gale and Levin Gale; and Likewise the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing Writt
was directed Likewise Cometh & Maketh Return thereof Endorsed in these words viz.t   Nihill P

             Therefore Command is againe given to the Sherr of Somersett County Cour that by good &c he
make Known to the afd Michael Holland that he be and appear before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court to be held at Dividing for the County of Somersett the third tuesday of June next to Shew
in form afd &c if &c and further &c the same day is given to the afd Betty Gale and Levin Gale
also            Att which Said third tuesday of June to witt the twenty first day of the Same Month
