Allen Shall Recover Judgm.t in the Plea afd against the Said Thomas Goddard or that the said Thomas
Goddard shall be therein Convict that then he the Said Thomas Goddard shall pay the Condemnation of
the Court thereupon or Render his body to the Custody of the sherr of Somersett County in satisfaction
thereof or that they the said John Caldwell and Alexander Adams will do it for him &c

       Whereupon the Said Thomas Goddard in his Own proper person Comes and defends the force &
Injury when &c and Says that he Cannot gainsay the Plft his action afd against him brought nor Can
he Say but that the writing obligatory afd is his act and deed and that the debt therein Mentioned is
yett due and unsatisfyed wherefore the Said Plft prays Judgm.t for his debt afd and his Costs and
Damages sustained by Occasion of the detaining of the Same debt &c

                Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the twenty first day of June anno Dom
One thousand seven hundred and twenty six that the afd Francis Allen Recover against the afd
Thomas Goddard his debt afd to Eight thousand pounds of tobo as also the Sum of
618                                        pounds of tob.o for his Costs and Damages sustained by occasion
of the detaining of the same debt to the same Francis of his assent by the Court here adjudged with
Stay of Execution untill the tenth day of Novem Next and the afd Deft in Mercy &c
Memorand.m the plft by his attorney Releaseth out of the Debt afd the sum of six thousand seven
hundred and thirty four pounds of tobo

      This being an action of trespass upon the Case &c wherein the Sherr of Somersett Coty

to whom the writt in the Same action was directed comes and makes Return thereof
                            to the Court here Endorsed viz.t      Cepi Corpus p Francis Allen Sherr

    Whereupon the Said Charles Lowe being Called appears and thereupon the Said Charles Lowe at the
    Prayer of the Plfts attorney is adjudged to give Special Bail to the action afd thereupon a Certain
    Thomas Dashiel of Somersett County Gent Present in Court undertakes for the Said Charles Lowe that
    if in Case the Said John Collins ^shall^ Recover Judgm.t in the Plea afd against the afd Charles Lowe or that
    the Said Charles Lowe Shall be therein Convict that then he the Said Charles Lowe Shall pay the Condemnation
    of the Court thereupon or Render his body to the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County in
    Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Thomas Dashiel will do it for him   thereupon the said
    Charles Lowe by Joseph Pemberton his attorney appears and Imparles till next Court &c

writt of Scirefacias against the deft the tenor whereof followeth in these
words vizt     Somersett fs  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the
Provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c   To
    the Sherr of Somersett County Greeting Whereas Robert Martin of Somersett County Gent Lately in
    Our County Court of Somersett here to witt on the Eighteenth day of august ann.o Dom one thousand
    seven hundred and twenty four before the worshipfull Joseph Gray and his associates these our
                                                                                                                                   Justices
