1726 134 same day is given unto his Lordships attorney also Att which said Next Court to witt the twenty first day of June anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty six Came againe ^as well his^ Lordships attorney who for his Said Lordships in this behalfe prosecutes as the said Elizabeth Townsend in her proper person and the said Elizabeth Relinquisheth her verification afd and says that of the premises afd she is guilty thereof and & Putts herselfe in Mercy of the Lord proprietary and makes oath that a Certain Joseph Bounds is the begetter of the Child She Stands presented for and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Elizabeth Townsend be fined to his Lordship thirty shillings Currt mony for the fact afd &c thereupon the Said Eliza Townsend is ordered to give security for the payment of the fine afd and all the officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses afd &c Thereupon a Certain Cannon Winwright present in Court undertakes for the Said Eliz.a Townsend to pay the fine afd and the Severall Officers their fees due by means of the premisses on the presentmt afd &c and against the afd Jos: Bounds its Ordered by the Court that Capias Issue returnable to Next august Court whereupon the afd Eliza Townsend is discharged from the presemtn.t afd &c
that they may ^be^ Continued Bound its ordered by the Court that the Said William Lingo John Lingo and Robinson Lingoe give New security for their good behaviour and appearance at Next August Court to be held for Somersett County &c Thereupon a Certain Bruffe Broughton of Somersett County planter present here in Court together with the afd William Lingo, in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to owe unto his Said Lordship his heirs and Suf Successors in manner and form following viz.t the afd William Lingo in twenty pounds Sterling and the afd Bruffe Broughton in twenty pounds Sterling good and Lawfull of England seperately on their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to be Levied for the Use of his said Lordship In Case the Said William Lingoe do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of august next and answer unto his Said Lordship Concerning all Such Matters and things as Shall be then and there Objected against ^him^ on his Said Lordships behalfe and to stand and abide ye Judgm.t of the Court thereupon and not to depart ye same Court without Licence thereof and in the meanetime to be of ye good Behaviour towards his said Lordship and all his good People and more Especially toward ye afd Patrick Kersey &c Likewise the Said William Lingo and Bruffe Broughton present herein Court undertakes for said Jno Lingo and Robinson Lingoe as their securitys and acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebed unto his said Lordship his heirs and Successors in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling Each to be Levied on their bodys goods and Chattells Lands or tenements Separately for the use of his Said (Lordship) |
