1726 131 Upon the Petition of Nicholas Fullton of ^Nanticoke Somerset County^ the sea side to be tax free, the premisses Considered &c Its thereupon ordered by the Court that the afd Nicholas Fullton be for the future Tax free as by the Pet.n afd is praid &c
almost Duble being almost past Labour and is now become burthensome to Your Petitioner who prays your worship's Consideration on my Case, that if your worships Can be timely Informed of the truth of my Petition you will plea to Sett her tax Free and your Petitioner Shall as in duty bound Pray The Petition afd being Read and heard and the Premisses Considered Its thereupon Ordered by the Court that the Negro afd of the afd Jn.o Gunby be for the future Tax Free &c
In Consideration of which Service the Said Jn.o Evans doth Oblige himselfe by these presents to Learn the Said Elizabeth Fowler to Read and to find and Provide for her all Such Necessarys as Should be Sufficient for Such a Servant to have and wear dureing her Servitude afd ye
is Free from any Farder Servitude according to the Custom of this Country Still Your petitioner is detained and forceably Kept by his Last master William Jones of great Monney Contrary to ye Law of the Land May it therefore pleas your worship's after their wanted Costom of goodness Justice and Charity to Commisserate your Poor Petitioner he being distitute of all that would releive him in ye Least Shooing himselfe on the worshipfull for Justice and your Petitioner will Ever pray The Petition afd being Read and heard and the Premisses as well on the Part of the Said William Jones as on the Part of ye Said Petitioner ^Considered^ and whereas the Said William Jones Produced (an) |
