Committed to his Care Samuel Derekson Informer         Neal Maclester foreman
     Thereupon Command is given unto the Sherr of Somersett County that he should Cause the Said John Painter to Come
Before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett ^to be held at Dividing Creek^ the third tuesday of august then Next answer unto his 
said Lordship Concerning a Certain Presentm.t against him found by the Orphan Jury &c and that thereof he should not
faile &c                            Att which said third tuesday of august to witt the twentieth day of the Same Month ann Dom
One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Being the day of the return of the said Writt Comes the Sherr of Somersett
County to whom the for^e^goeing writt was directed and makes return thereof to the Court here Enords in these words viz.t

          Whereupon the said John Painter in his Own proper person appears and ^being^ asked how he would acquit
himselfe of the premisses afd says that of the premises afd he is no ways Guilty thereof whereupon the Court
haveing Inspected the presentm.t afd do find it an Illegall Prosecution   Wherefore It is Considered by the
Justices afd that the said John Painter be thereof quitt &c he paying the severall Officers their fees due by occation
of the Premisses afd &c

    To the worshipfull Justices of the peace for the County of Sommersett now in Court Sitting the petition
of Robert Houston humbly sheweth that your petitioner is arrive to the age of twenty one years
and is Now Capable to receive that Estate that is Left by your Peitioners decd father and the said
                   Estate is now in the hands of Benjamin Houston which said Benjamin Houston is Contriveing and doth
       Unjustly detain the small Estate that was Left your Petitioner Now I humbly desire that your Worships will be
       pleased to order the said Benjamin Houston to deliver the Estate to your worship's Petitioner and In duty bound
       shall Ever pray               Robert Houston
       thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should be sommons the said Benjamin
       Houston if he should be found in his Bailiwick that all Excuses sett apart he be and appear before the
       Justices of our County Court to be held at Dividing Creek in somersett County afd the third tuesday of August next
       then next to answer the petition afd and that thereof he should not faile &c
       Att which said next Cou third tuesday of august to witt the twentieth day of the same month ann Dom one
       thousand seven hundred and twenty three Comes the Sherr of Somersett County and makes return of his said
       Writt in these words following viz.t Cepi sumoned P Jos: MccClester Sherr
       Whereupon the said Benjamin Houston in his own proper person appears and the Petition afd being
       Read and heard and by the Justices here fully Considered and the ^said^ Robt Houston nor noe person appearing
       to prosecute the said Petition and the said Benjamin Houston saith that he is willing to deliver all that
       part of the said Rob.t Houstons Estate in that he hath in his hands unto the said Robert Houston when
       Ever by him demanded &c       Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the said Benjamin
       Houston deliver unto the said Robert Houston the petitioner all that part of his Estate that he hath of his
       in his hands &c thereupon the said Benj.a Houston is discharged therefrom &c
