Sarah Stevens
    Bound to
Lazarus Maddux Poakamoak
 Sarah Stevens an Orphan Girle by her Consent is bound by the Court unto Lazarus Maddux
of Poakamoak untill she arrives to the age of sixteen years she being Eight years old
the said Sarah Stevens to serve the said Lazarus Maddux the full term of time afd in
               Such security Lawfull Service as he shall Imploy her in and about dureing the afd servitude        In Consideration
       of which service so as afd to be performed the said Lazarus Maddux Promiseth by these presents to Learn the said
       Sarah Stevens to read well in the Bible and to Knitt Sew and Spin and other houswifery and to find and provide
       for her sufficient meat Drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for her to have and ware dureing her Servitude &c
               Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that the said Lazarus Maddux give Security for the Performance of the
       Covenants afd.   Thereupon the Said Lazarus Maddux with John Broughton his Security present herein Court
       acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted un Joyntly and Severally unto the said Sarah Stevens
       her heirs and assigns in the sume of thirty pounds Curr.t money to be Levied on their Bodys goods and Chattles
       Lands or tenements for the use of the said Sarah Stevens, In Case the said Lazarus Maddux do not Learn the
       Said Sarah Stevens to read well in the Bible and to Knitt Sew and Spin dureing her servitude afd and Likewise
       to find and Provide for her sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and apparrell as afd &c


Joseph Dashiell
  Choose his guardian
 Now here at this day to witt the twentieth day of august ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Comes here into Court a Certain Joseph Dashiell of Somersett County (and Son in law
                            of Cap.t Joseph Macclester) and prays that he may have the Liberty of Choseing a Certain George Collier
as his Guardiant he haveing being arived to full years according to Law &c which is Granted him &c thereupon
the said Joseph Dashiell makes Choice of the said George Collier as his Guardiant &c thereupon the afd Joseph
Macclester present here in Court is Ordered to deliver up unto the said George Collier Guardiant of the afd
Joseph Dashiell all that part of the said Joseph Dashiell Estate that doth Justly Belong to him Out of
his Estate fathers Estate that he hath in his hands &c  Whereupon it is further Ordered by the Court that the said
George Collier give good security for the secure Keeping of the Said Joshep Dashiell Estate that shall ^be^ delivered
unto him by the said Joseph Macclester and Likewise to return to the same to the said Joseph Dashiell when he
shall arrive to ^four^ years of according to Law to receive the same

             Thereupon the said George Collier together with Robert Collier his Security Present here in Court acknowledged
themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted un Joyntly and Severally unto the Said Joseph Dashiell his
heirs and assigns in the full and Just Sume of One hundred pounds Curr.t money to be Levied on their Bodys goods
or Chattles Lands or tenements for the use of the Said Joseph Dashiell his heirs and assigns In Case the Said
George Collier doe not Preserve and Securely Keep all that Part of the Said Joseph Dashiell Estate that shall
be delivered to him by the said Joseph Macclester and Likewise redeliver the Same unto the Said Joseph Dashiell
when he shall arrive to full years according to Law to receive the Same and Comply with the Law in that respect
Relateing to guardians &c then the above recognizance to be void &c
