without Leave of the Court that then this recognizance to be void   Charles Ballard, Will.m Stoughton
    Now here at this day to witt the twentieth day of august ann Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty three
appears her in Court the Said Sarah Walker in her Own proper person who is thereupon discharged from the recognizance
with her securities afd  Whereupon the said Sarah Walker is Ordered by the Court to give New recognizance
for her good Behaviour and appearance at next Court to be held for the County afd &c 

             Thereupon Thomas Walker husband of the afd Sarah Walker and Lazarus Mattux of Poakamoke in Somrsett
County Gent.n present here in Court in their proper persons undertakes for the said Sarah Walker and acknowledged
themselves Joyntly and Severally to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the right honourable
the Lord proprietarie of the Province of Maryland in the his heirs and successors in the sum of Fifty pounds
Currant money of maryland each to be levied on the Body's goods or Chattles Lands or tenements for the Use of his
said Lordship the Lord Proprietarie   In Case the Said Sarah Walker doe not make her personall appearance
before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at Dividing Creek in Sommersett County afd the third tuesday of August ^Novem^
next to answer unto his said Lordship Concerning all such Matters and things as shall be then and there objected
against her on his said Lordships Behalfe and to stand and abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon and not to
depart the same Court without Lycence thereof and in the Meantime to be of good Beheaviour and abearance to
all his said Lordships Leige People and More Especially to the afd Merrick Ellis then the above recognizance
to be void otherwise &c

  Recognizance
Sommersett County ss.t   Memorandum that the thirteenth day of august One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Thomas Walker of the County afd Came Before me William Stoughton Esq.r
                One of his Lordships the Lord Proprietaries Justices of the Peace in the County afd to Keep assigned and acknowledged
himselfe to be Indebted unto the said Lord Proprietarie fifty pounds good and Lawfull money of great Brittain
of his goods and Chattles Lands and tenements to be Levied for the use of the said Lord Proprietarie his heirs and Successors
if default be not made in the Condition below Written
    The Condition of this recognizance is such that if Sarah Walker Jun of the County afd shall personally appear at the
next Court of the County held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of this Instant august and Do then and there answer all
such matters and things which shall be Objected against her being suspected of stealling divers goods feloniously
from Merrick Ellis and John Banister and doe not depart without Leave of the Court that then this recognizance to
be void &c                                                                                           Will.m Stoughton

Now here at this day to witt the twentieth day of august Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three
appears here in Court the said Sarah Walker Jun in her Own proper person and prays that her appearance may
be recorded to save her security from the above recognizance thereupon the said Recognizance Sarah Walker's
appearance is recorded and her security discharged   Whereupon the said Sarah Walker Jun is ordered
by the Court to give New recognizance for her good Behaviour and appearance at next Court to be held
for the County afd            Thereupon Thomas Walker and Lazarus Mattux of Poakamoak in Sumersett County
Gentl: Present here in Court undertakes for the said Sarah Walker Jun and acknowledged themselves to owe and
stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship the right honourable the Lord proprietary of the province
