81 Came before us Charles Ballard and William Stoughton Gent two of his Lordships the Lord proprietaries Justices of the Peace of the County afd to Keep assigned and acknowledged themselves severally to be Indebted to the Said Lord Proprietor in fifty pounds of good and lawfull money of great Brittain of their goods and Chattles Lands and tenements severally to be Levied for the Use of his said Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors if default be made in the Condition below written The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above Bound Mary Cavenough shall personally appear at the Next Court of the County afd to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of august Instant and do then and there answer unto all such matters and things which be Objected against her being suspected of Felloniously Stealling divers goods from Merrick Ellis and do not depart without Leave of the Court then this recognizance to be void &c Charles Ballard Will.m Stoughton Now here at this day to witt the twentieth day of august ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty three appears here in Court the Said Mary Cavanough in her proper person who is discharged from the recognizance afd &c Whereupon the said Mary Cavanough is Ordered by the Court to give New recognizance for her appearance at Next Court Thereupon a Certain Joseph Gray of Somersett County Gent Present here in Court Acknowledged himselfe to Owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietarie his heirs and Successors in in the sum of fifty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland to be Levied on his Body goods or Chattles Lands or tenem.ts for the use of his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary. In Case the Said Mary Cavanough do not make her personall app appearance before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at dividing Creek in Somrsett County afd the third tuesday of November next to answer unto his Said Lordship Concerning all such Matters and things as shall be then and there Objected against her on his said Lordships Behalfe and to Stand & abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereon and not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof then the above recognizance to be void Otherwise &c
