68 Dickenson towards satisfying unto the said John Scarbrough as well the sum of three pounds Curr.t mony and four hundred pounds of tobacco as also the Costs accrueing upon the Writt of attachm.t afd Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the Eighteenth day of June Ann Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty three that the said sum of twelve shillings and six pence so as afd attached in the hands of the said Somrsett Dickenson as of the rights and Creditts of the said William Gilchrist towards satisfying unto the said John Scarbrough as well the sum of three pounds Curr.t money & four hundred pounds of tobo as also the Cost accrueing upon the Writt of attachm.t afd and that the said John Scarbrough have his Execution thereof against the said Somrsett Dickenson according to act of assembly &c Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the same day and year Last mentioned that the said sume of Nine Shillings and two pence part of the sum so attached and Confesed be Condemned in the hands of the said Charles Ramsey as of the rights and Creditts of the said William Gilchrist towards satisfying unto the said John Scarbrough as well the sum of three pounds Curr.t money and four hundred pounds of tobacco as also the Costs accrueing upon the afd Writt of attachm.t and that the said John Scarbrough have his Execution thereof against the said Charles ramsey according to act of assembly &c memorand.m The Garnishee Charles ramsey voluntarily takes his Oath that he hath noe more of the Effects of the deft in his hands then what he has Confesed
County Carpenter lat^e^ly in the County Court of Sommersett to witt the twenty first day of November One thousand seven hundred and Eighteen before the Worshipfull Charles Ballard Gent and his associates then Justices of Our said Court ^Judiciously Sitting^ and by Consideration of the same Court (at Dividing Creek) recovered against a Certain Thomas Goddart of Stepney Parish in Sommersett County Taylor as well the sum of sixteen thousand pounds of tobacco a Certain debt as also the sum of three hundred and fifty one pounds of tobacco Costs Laid Out and Expended whereof he is Convict as p the record and process thereof in Our Said Court remaining before the Justices thereof manifestly appear and for as much as Execution remaineth thereupon as yett to be done and because wee Will that those things which in Our Said Court are rightly done & acknowledged should be brought to a due Execution and the said John Watts being since dead who dies Intestate as tis said after whose death administration of a ll and singular the goods Chattles rights and Creditts of the said Jn.o Watts decd to ann his wife was Legally Committed and whereas the said Ann after the administration afd to her Committed is since Intermaried to a Certain Thomas Collier of the County afd as by Intimation Wee have rec.d and for as much as the debt and Costs afd as yett remaineth unpaid and unsatisfyed Wee therefore Command you that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailiwick you made Known unto the said Thomas Goddart if he shall be found in your Bailiwick that he be and appear before the Justices of our County Court to be held at dividing Creek in Sommersett County afd the third tuesday |
