    Edward Ricketts
This being an action of trespass upon the Case &.c Wherein the Sherr of Sommersett County

makes return that he to whom the Wrtt in the same action was directed Comes and makes
                               Return thereof to the the Court here Endorst viz.t   Cepi P Jos: M.ccChester Sherr

                     Whereupon the said Edward Ricketts at being Called appears and thereupon the said Edward Ricketts
       at the Prayer of the Plfts attorney is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd but for want thereof the
       said Edward Ricketts is Committed into the Custody of the sherr of Sommersett County thereto remain &.c thereupon
       the said Sherr being Present here in Court took Charge of the said Edward Ricketts accordingly thereupon day
       is given the said Edward Ricketts in Custody as afd ^untill next Court^ to answer the said Henry Toadvine in the plea afd
                      Att which said Next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of the June Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
       and twenty two Comes againe the said Henry Toadvine by George Dashiell his attorney as the said Edwd
       Ricketts in Custody as afd and thereupon a Certain John Breedy of Sommersett County Present herein
       Court undertakes for the sid Edward Ricketts that in Case the said Henry Toadvine shall recover Judgmt
       in the Plea afd against the said Edward Ricketts or that the said Edward Ricketts shall be therein Convict
       that then he the said Edward Ricketts shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his Body to ye
       Custody of the Sherr of Sommersett County in satisfaction thereof or that he the said John Breedy will do it for
       him thereupon the said Edward Ricketts appears by Francis Allen his attorney and Imparles till next Court

Command was given to the Sherr of Sommersett County that he should take Edward Hull
of Coventry Parish in Sommersett County Carpenter al.s dictus Edward Hull of Sommersett
County in maryland if he should be found in his Baliwick and him should Safe Keep so that
             he might have his Body Before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Sommersett to be held at Dividing
       Creek the third tuesday of June then next to answer unto Ebenezer Handy and Priscilla Burton Ex.rs of the
       last will and testament of Samuell Handy ^sen^ dec.d of a plea that he render unto them seven hundred pounds of good
       sound tobacco in One hh.d and Clear of the Charge of the hh.d which from them he unjustly detains &.c and that thereof
       he should not fail &.c    And whereupon the said Plfts by Francis Allen their attorney says that whereas
       the said Edward the Ninteenth day of June Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty one at ye Parish &
       County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court being the date whereof is the same day and year did acknowledge
       himself to be Bound unto the afd Samuel in his Lifetime in the afd seven hundred pounds of tobacco in one hh.d Clear
       of ye Charge of the hogshead to be paid unto the said Samuel by the tenth day of November next Ensueing the date
       of the said Bill or writeing Obligatory afd yett the afd Edward tho often required the same according to the
       Contents of the Bill or writting Obligatory afd to the said Samuell in his Lifetime hath not rendered nor to the
       afd Plfts after ye deceas of the said Samuell but the same to them to render hath denyed and the said Edward the
       same to ye said Plfts to render still doth deny and unjustly detaine to the retarding them in the Execution
       of the last will and testament afd and thereupon they Bring Suite &.c   And Bring into Court their Letters
       testamentary by which &.c    F Allen P Querr Pledg &.c deft    Jno Doe & richd Roe
                               Att which said nex third tuesday of June to witt the Eighteenth day of the Same Month Ann Dom
       One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Being the day of the return of the said Writt Comes the said
