    Alexander Magaken
     Command was given to the Sherr: of Sommersett County that he should take Alexander

Magaken late of Coventry Parish Gent if he should be found in his Baliwick
                               and him should Safe Keep so that he might have His body before the Justices of his
       Lordships County Court of Sommersett to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next
       to answer unto Levin Gale of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c  And that thereof he should not faile &.c
                                   And whereupon the said Levin Gale in his proper person Complaines that whereas the
       afd Alexander the tenth day of October One thousand seven hundred and twenty two at ye Parish afd within
       the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the afd Levin in the Sum of two pounds seven shillings for
       the les like sum by the said Alexander of the said Levin before that time Recd and so thereof Being Indebted
       the said Alexander in Consideration thereof the day and year afd at ye Parish afd within the afd Jurisdiction
       upon himselfe assumed and to the said Levin then and there faithfully Promised that the the said Alexander
       the afd sum of two pounds seven shillings to the afd Levin when afterwards he should be thereunto requested
       he would well and faithfully pay and Content Nevertheless the afd Alexander his Promise and assumption
       afd in form afd made Little Regarding but Plotting and fraudulently Intending the said Levin in that
       Part to defraud and deceive the afd sum of two pounds seven shillings or any Part thereof altho' thereunto
       Requested the tenth day of Aprill One thousand seven hundred and twenty three and often afterwards
       to ye said Levin hath not Paid or Contented but the same hitherto to pay hath altogether refused and
       still doth refuse whereby the said Levin says he is the worse and hath damage to the value of six pounds
       Curr.t mony of maryland and thereof brought this Suite &.c    Levin Gale   Pledges &.c   Jno Doe R Roe
                                                 Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the Eighteenth day of the same
       Month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Being the day of the return of the
       said Writt Comes the said Levin Gale in his Own proper person afd and the sherr of Sommersett
       County afd to whom the foregoeing Writt was directed Likewise Comes and makes return thereof to
       the Court here Endorst in these words following vizt   Non Est Answers Jos: MccChester Sher
                            Whereupon the said Levin Gale in his Own Proper person as afd Prays that for as much
       as he has Complyed with the Laws in Order to an attachm.t he may have Judgm.t against the said
       Alexander Magaken for his damages afd by way of attachm.t according to act of assembly &.c
                                Whereupon for that it seems to ye Court here that the said Levin Gale has Complyed
       with the Laws as alledged;
                                                                              Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the
       Eighteenth day of June Ann Dom: One thousand seven hundred and Eighteen ^twenty three afd^ that the said Levin
       Gale Recover against the said Alexander Magaken as well the sum of two pounds seven shill
       his damages afd by Occasion of the Premisses afd as all Costs and Charges by the said Plft Laid Out
       and Expended about his suite by way of attachmt against the goods Chattles rights or Creditts of the
       said Alex.d Magaken according to act of assembly in such Case made and Provided &.c
