Whereupon the said Thomas Laws George Bozman sen Thomas Dashiell John Jones William Stoughton Capell
King William Sasser and Underwood Roucher by George Dashiell their attorney Command defend the
force and Injury when &c and Offers themselves against the said Thomas Cary in the Plea afd But the said
Thomas Cary altho' solemnly Called Comes not nor is his writt in the Plea afd further Presented against them the
said ^Thomas^ George Laws George Bozman sen Thomas Dashiell, John Jones, William Stoughton, Capell King
Wm Sasser and Underwood Roucher
                                                                                 Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the eighteenth
day of June Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three that the said Thomas Cary &
his Pleges in Prosecuting be in mercy &c and lett the Names of his said Pledges be Sought for &c and that the
said Thomas Laws, George Bozman sen Thomas Dashiell, John Jones, William Stoughton Capell King
William Sasser and Under Wood roucher goe thereof without day and also it is Considered by the Justices here
that the said Thomas Laws, George Bozman ^sen^ Underwood Roucher Thomas Dashiell, John Jones, William
Stoughton, Capell King, William Sasser and Underwood Roucher vestry men and Church Wardens afd recover
(284)   against the said Thomas Cary the sum of Two hundred and Eighty four                              pounds of
tobacco by the Court here adjudged unto them for their Cost and Charges by them about their defence in this Part
sustained according to the form of the Statute in that Case made and Provided and that thereof they have their
Execution &c

 This being an action of trespass upon the Case &c wherein the sherr of Sommersett
County to whom the Writt in the same action was directed Comes and makes return thereof
Endorst viz.t                               Cepi so answers Jos: MccChester Sherr
                         Whereupon the said Ann Shiles Being Called appears and thereupon the said Ann Shiles
at the Prayer of the Plfts attorney is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd thereupon
Certain Leven Gale of Sommersett County Gent Present here in Court undertakes for the said Ann Shiles
that in Case the said Timothy Adkinson shall recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the said Ann Shiles
or that the said Ann Shiles shall be therein Convict that then she the said Ann Shiles shall pay the Condemnation
of the Court thereupon unto the said Timothy Adkinson or render her Body to the Sherr of Sommersett
County in satisfaction therefor that he the said Levin Gale will do it for her thereupon the said
Ann Shiles by Levin Gale her attorney appears and Imparles till next Court &c

 Command was given to the Sherr of Sommersett County that he should take Naomi Shiles

late of Stepney Parish in the County afd Widdow if she should be found in his Baliwick
                               and her should Safe Keep so that he might have her Body before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Sommersett to be held at Dividing Creek in Sommersett County afd the third tuesday of
June ^then^ next to answer unto Robert Martin of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c and that thereof he should
